Ten years ago, some very well-known rock songs were released, butthere were plenty of great tracks that have been forgotten. When you look at someclassic rock albums that have no skips, it’s the tracks that people may not remember that make them so. These tunes may never be like some of the biggest songs and reachone billion streams on Spotify, but they play a vital role in the records they are placed on, being more than just filler.
While some of these songs come from bands that were already big names in 2015, others are from acts that were making their debut. These forgotten tunes helped make their arrivals memorable, placing them in the conversation with otherlegendary rock debuts. As these tunes have now been around for over a decade, it’s hard to say if they will ever find their way into the mainstream of music, but if they did, they have all the elements necessary to succeed.
10Breaking Benjamin - Bury Me Alive
Album: Dark Before Dawn (August 18, 2025)
Throughout their career, Breaking Benjamin has been known for creating an incredible number of hit songs. Since their beginnings, they have perfected their sound, making everything they produce crisp. In 2015, their albumDark Before Dawnonce again featured top tracks such as “Failure” and “Angels Fall,” butthere is more if you delve into the record.
This song has an eerie vibe, along with a chorus that grabs your attention.
One of those is track seven, “Bury Me Alive.” This song has an eerie vibe, along with a chorus that grabs your attention. It was surprising to see that this tune never received a single release because it has all the elements of the band’s other hits. Additionally, you’re able to feel the extra effort the band put into this tune;it is not just cookie-cutter but instead has flavor to it.
9Saint Asonia - King Of Nothing
Album: Saint Asonia (July 06, 2025)
When Adam Gontier left Three Days Grace in 2013, it left fans wondering what he would do next. He had so much history with the band that the thought of him starting over was hard to fathom. What he did was start his own supergroup of sorts called Saint Asonia, which included guitarist Mike Mushok from Staind. Their debut record in 2015 became highly anticipated.
While it was clear which songs they were promoting as their top tracks, one that didn’t receive as much attention was “King of Nothing.” This was a tune that should have been given more promotion due to its raw lyrical content. This is a song that could easily have been a Three Days Grace track or a Staind track, but instead, it is housed on Saint Asonia’s debut.
8Young Guns - Memento Mori
Album: Ones And Zeros (June 10, 2025)
After Young Guns released their sophomore record,Bones, in 2012, the band became well-known internationally. The title track from the album garnered so much attention that it was even used by WWE for WrestleMania 29. Therefore, their follow-up was incredibly important. They gave everything they had andeven released six songs from the record as singles.
One tune that wasn’t released was “Memento Mori,” the fourth track on the record. It is astounding that this didn’t become a single becauseit features one of the best instrumentals on the album. This includes an unforgettable breakdown about halfway through. Had this hit the airwaves, it is very likely that it would have caught attention, but for now, it remains one of the band’s memorable deep cuts.
7Highly Suspect - Vanity
Album: Mister Asylum (June 28, 2025)
One of the biggest debuts in 2015 was Highly Suspect. The band emerged on the scene with the hit song “Lydia” and received so much praise that they were even nominated for a Grammy Award. While the album garnered phenomenal attention, the band would only release two singles from it. Therefore, tracks such as “Vanity” never received as much attention as they should have.
The two singles they released were great and served their purpose, but “Vanity” revealed much of what the band was capable of. Highly Suspect is known for their unique style, both in their instrumentals and vocals. This tune highlights this, showcasing their originality. Since then, the band has released four more albums, soa song like this may never get its proper play, but it is definitely worthy of it.
6Three Days Grace - The Real You
Album: Human (July 24, 2025)
After replacing their lead singer, Adam Gontier, with Matt Walst from My Darkest Days, anticipation began to build to see what the new Three Days Grace would sound like. With songs such as “Painkiller” and “I Am Machine,” it was easy to see the band was in good hands. Their sound remained relatively the same, which added excitement to exploring their 2015 record.
As found in the past by them, one great song led to another. This didn’t change simply because they had a new lead singer; they were still firing on all cylinders. The last track on the record, “The Real You,” was among the best. The lyrics were intense andreminiscent of their 2006 hit “Never Too Late.“It was understandable why they wouldn’t want a similar track to lead the new era, but it was certainly one that told their fans they were still the same band at their core.
5Fall Out Boy - Novocaine
Album: American Beauty/American Psycho (August 15, 2025)
Fall Out Boy’s 2015 album, American Beauty/American Psycho, contained some of the band’s biggest songs ever: “Centuries” and “Uma Thurman.” With the attention that these two tracks received, it was hard for any others on the album to compete. They did release three other singles, butsome songs were overshadowed due to the enormous attention the two hits received.
One song that deserved more love was “Novocaine.” This tune showcased the tremendous talent that the band possessed. This is especially true of lead singer Patrick Stump, whose vocals shine throughout this track. Not only was he hitting high notes, but he also hit low notes. Although this may never have the mainstream attention of the two main hits, it surely showcases their best qualities.
4Halestorm - I Like It Heavy
Album: Into Wild Life (August 07, 2025)
After major success in 2012, which included a Grammy Award, anticipation grew for the band’s third album. Once it was released, it was met with tremendous praise as it ranked first on threeBillboardcharts. Although it was not released as a single, one of the standout songs was “I Like It Heavy,“the 13th and final track on the original release.
This tune felt like a throwback to classic rock.
This tune felt like a throwback to classic rock. Of course, lead singer Lzzy Hale has always been known for her amazing vocals, but this was a prime example of her talent. There’s a reason she has been able to fill in for a band like Skid Row, asshe possesses all the qualities of rock stars from the past. If you want a pure hard rock tune, this is an excellent choice.
3Bring Me The Horizon - What You Need
Album: That’s The Spirit (July 20, 2025)
Over the course of their career, not only have Bring Me the Horizon delivered hits, but they have done so through many genres, changing their sound along the way. In 2015, they explored various rock genres, including alternative and pop. To help makeThat’s the Spirita success, they released seven songs as singles, over half the tracks on the album.
One that missed the cut was “What You Need.” This was unfortunate because it was one of the strongest songs on the record. The band has never been afraid to express exactly how they feel, andthis is a prime example of their emotions being conveyed powerfully. On many of their albums, you will find some tremendous deep cuts, and this is one to add to the list.
2Death Cab For Cutie - Everything’s A Ceiling
Album: Kintsugi (June 01, 2025)
Having released their debut album in 1998, Death Cab for Cutie has experienced great success throughout their career. Over 15 years after their first record, they returned in 2015 with their eighth album.Highlighted were some of the band’s strongest qualitiesas they blended genres such as indie and art rock. They would only release two songs as singles, meaning many didn’t receive the prime spotlight.
However, it was nominated for a Grammy Award, indicating it received the appreciation it warranted. One of the most intriguing tracks was “Everything’s a Ceiling.” This tune has a deep emotional impact, all while delivering an intriguing instrumental composition. The band excelled in blending their indie style while also finding ways to incorporate emo rock.
1We Are Harlot - Someday
Album: We Are Harlot (June 19, 2025)
One of the many projects that Asking Alexandria’s Danny Worsnop has worked on over the years is We Are Harlot. The band released their debut album in 2015, but only two songs were released as singles. This was unfortunate becausethere are many great tunes on this record, ones that could have shined if given that spot.
One of those tracks was “Someday.” This is one of the most beautiful rock tunes, conveying the ultimate message of believing in love. It remains to be seen if the band will ever do something together again, but at the very least, this song should be released as a single. It has all the makings of a top hit, but until that day, it remains one of the hidden treasures on this album.
