I’m in awe of theStardew Valleycommunity pretty much at all times. Having played it since 1.0,there’s no endto the shenanigansStardewplayerscan get into, whether it’s finding exploits or good old-fashioned Easter egg discovery.YouTuber BlaDe managed to stretchthe game to its limits with this new revelation, which directly involves the Night Market’s Mermaid Show.
The gist is that this exploit utilizes the Mermaid Show to duplicate items, which can then be sold for profit. While many items aren’t eligible for this glitch, boots can be sold at the Adventurer’s Guild (near the mines), and can result in a ton of cash. Again, I’m in awe that people wouldbreak the gameto this degree: let’s take a look at how it’s done.

Stardew Valley Item Duplication Glitch Is An Incredible Find
The Community Is Always Finding New Things
As BlaDe explains in their video, you cannot place objects outside of the Night Market when it’s available from the 15th to the 17th of Winter. What youcan dois place items inside the Mermaid room. By placing items in chests, when you leave the Night Market, the items are removed and placed on the beach. If you fully load up the chest, you’ll get extra chests. With us so far?
Constantly filling up the chests will yield even more items and chests, andthe ultimate goal is to create tons of mannequins and boots. Place the mannequin in the Mermaid Show with boots, then place other mannequins on it when they’re pushed out to the beach. You can then sell those boots to the Adventurer’s Guild for cash. For example, BlaDe sells Mermaid Boots to Marlon, who can accept an unlimited amount of them.

New Stardew Valley Exploits Might Never Stop Appearing
It’s The Game That Keeps On Giving
Every time I think about stopping aStardew Valleyrun, an incredible find like this comes out and persuades me to keep playing. It’s not that I’m going to necessarily use them:I just enjoy the wholesome vibe this community persists, and it’s incredible to see an active community like this working together to solve problems and come up with new solutions.
It’s only a matter of time until someone discovers the nextStardew Valleysecret, and I’m always here for it. Given the cooperative and chill nature of the game, glitches and exploits don’t impact anything nearly as badly as they would in something more competitive, so you’re free to ignore them if you want. SinceHaunted Chocolatieris still in the works, I’m preemptively excited to see the community crack it wide open.
