Backcapping inOverwatch 2is a challenging but rewarding endeavor, but one clip drops players' jaws after a player manages to singlehandedly escort a payload across nearly the entire map without interruption over the span of two and a half minutes. Typical gameplay withinOverwatch 2is highly team-oriented, and while teamwork is often key to succeeding in the game’s several objective-based game modes, many players often become distracted by unnecessary teamfights.

Overwatch 2’s growing roster of unique heroes and their associated abilities makes combat within the game constantly feel interesting, though more often than not, indiscriminately eliminating opponents is less important than focusing on specific objectives. The game has retained many classic game modes over the course of its life, with most players familiar with payload escort and zone control missions which require teams to work together in order to win. The release ofOverwatch 2saw a new game modein the form of Push, which requires both teams to fight for control of a robot and escort it further than the other team can.

Though many ofthe game modes inOverwatch 2are relatively simple for players to get the hang of, some players tend to be more interested in securing kills than playing the objective. This sort of mindset is common in nearly any multiplayer game, but one clip shared by the user FangirlCrazily shows them using the enemy team’s lack of awareness to their advantage as they win the match practically by themselves. This hilarious video shows the Genji player pushing the payload for a full 2 minutes and 32 seconds as the rest of their team battles against their opponents all the way at the start of the map. The enemy team only tries to stop the payload as it approaches the finish line, at which point it’s too late.

As a team-based multiplayer shooter game, it’s all too common forOverwatch 2players to point the finger at teammates when things start going wrong, andOverwatch 2’s plentiful matchmaking issuescertainly don’t make it any easier for aspiring Grandmasters to climb the ranks. That said,Overwatch 2has brought in a substantial number of brand-new players since its release, and it can often take newer players some time to learn the basics of Blizzard’s multiplayer hero shooter.

Unfortunately,Overwatch 2’s team-oriented gameplay can be a deterrent for some, with toxicity running rampant in the game largely due to some players frequently rejecting those that are less skilled at the game.Overwatch 2’s Defense Matrix initiative launched along with the game in an effort to encourage positivity and reinforce a healthier game space for players, though many fans have suggested thatOverwatch 2needs to do more to combat toxicity.

Overwatch 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox One Series X/S.
