WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS ahead for Alien: Earth episodes 1 & 2.The ending ofAlien: Earthepisode 2, “Mr. October,” finds Wendy’s biological brother Joe in peril after the Xenomorph that nearly took his life returns and sweeps him away. This happened just after Wendy followed the order of Kirsch, a Prodigy scientist who is also a synth, to investigate the “omelette” of alien eggs within the fallen spacecraft, the Maginot.
As the first-ever hybrid – a human consciousness downloaded into a synthetic body – in theAlien: Earthuniverse,Wendy possesses superhuman strength, speed, and intelligencethat places her and the other Prodigy hybrids in a league of their own.

However, they have yet to encounter the dangerous cyborg Morrow, a loyal employee ofthe Weyland-Yutani corporationwho will stop at nothing to protect the various specimens aboard the research ship.
Did Joe Get Killed By The Xenomorph?
Just moments afterWendy, who was born as the human Marcy, reunited with Joe, a Prodigy medic also known as Hermit, their bond is viciously severed by a Xenomorph, who terrorizes multiple humans on Earth. This occurs just moments after the Xenomorph nearly ate Joe alive before Morrow briefly neutralized the monster.
Although Morrow technically saved Joe’s life, it’s more than obvious that he doesn’t care about Joe or any human being on Earth whatsoever. Morrow’s journey is bound to overlap with Wendy and Joe in future episodes of Alien: Earth, especially since his main objective is to contain the Xenomorph and the other alien specimens.

Even though Joe was pulled away by the Xenomorph at the end ofAlien: Earthepisode 2,it’s more than likely that he did not die – at least not yet. There seems to be more to Joe’s story after reuniting with Wendy, who is determined to save Joe and protect him from death by any means necessary.
What The Alien Eggs On The Spacecraft Mean For Kirsh, Morrow, & Others
The non-terrestrial eggs seen at the end ofAlien: Earthepisode 2 are likely those of the Xenomorph. This would indicate that the Xenomorph is a queen and will be extra aggressive trying to protect her babies. The eggs in the Alien universe are called ovomorphs and have historically held what are commonly known as “facehuggers”, which latch onto a host and inject their embryo.
Morrow will likely continue to work tirelessly to capture all the loose specimensand take out anyone who stands in his way. Kirsh, however, also has a vested interest in securing the specimens for Boy Kavalier, the trillionaire genius who invested in the company Prodigy when he was still just a child.

While Wendy will be preoccupied trying to find and rescue her brother, Kirsh will likely instruct the other hybrids to secure the specimens for Boy Kavalier. This already sets up a showdown between Morrow and the hybrids, even though the latter are just a bunch of kids on the inside. Kirsh may realize that to get rid of Morrow, he’ll have to get his own hands dirty.
How Marcy Became Wendy Through Boy Kavalier & Prodigy
The first two episodes ofAlien: Earthreveal how Marcy, a young girl with a terminal illness, was “saved” by Boy Kavalier, who approached Marcy’s father while she was in the hospital. Boy Kavalier offered to save Marcy’s life in exchange for taking her away to his Neverland research island, where her consciousness would be uploaded into a synthetic human that Marcy named Wendy.
While Wendy is a profound innovation with immense potential to thwart human mortality, she is technically still the property of Prodigy. At this point,Boy Kavalier and his Prodigy scientists are fascinated by Wendy, who still believes she is human, and are letting her experiment with her newfound abilities to gain a better understanding of their creation.

The Real Meaning Of Joe Finding Reggie Jackson’s Baseball
Joe is an avid baseball lover who remembers watching replays of old MLB games with his father, who passed away before the events of the series. Joe miraculously encounters a World Series baseball autograph by Reggie Jackson, who earned the nickname Mr. October for his stellar clutch performances during the postseason.
To Joe, “Mr. October” is emblematic of something that his father told him when he was a kid. To paraphrase, Joe’s father said that sometimes life presents opportunities for people to shine, and those who do are celebrated in history.

In the context ofAlien: Earth,Joe is literally the only human who encountered the Xenomorph and survived, suggesting that he will be given his own time to shine later on in the series, perhaps with a “special” purpose of his own.
What To Expect In Alien: Earth Episode 3
Alien: Earthepisode 3, “Metamorphosis,” is bound to pick up where episode 2’s cliffhanger ending left off. Wendy will try to rescue Joe from the Xenomorph while Kirsh and Morrow battle for control of the specimens. Things don’t look so good for Slightly, one of the hybrids, who is left with the alien “omelette” and may end up demonstrating whether a hybrid can actually die.
The logline forAlien: Earthepisode 3, which will be released on August 06, 2025, reads,“The team returns home with unexpected cargo. An unsettling experiment occurs and a new talent is discovered.”

This suggests that Kirsh and Wendy will be successful in capturing the Xenomorph and delivering it to Boy Kavalier, potentially killing Morrow in the process. If this is the case, the ruler of Weyland-Yutani, named Yutani, will likely seek to get her specimens back inAlien: Earthepisode 3.
