There are 33 different record collectibles inClair Obscur: Expedition 33,and tracking them all down is no simple task. Records are found in a variety of different ways, from simple exploration around the Continent to completing relationship quests to diving deep into The Abyss in the late stages of the game. After collecting a Record, you can use the Record Player back at camp to listen to it and also track all the records you’ve found so far. Finding all the Records in Clair Obscur unlocks the"Connoisseur"trophy/achievement.

Records are one of the few different collectible quest types, similar to the journal collectibles you’ll find as youexploreClair Obscur’sdifferent areas during the main and side quests throughout the game. Records are sometimes found in side areas without Expedition Flag waypoints, while others require you to defeat some of the hardest bosses in the game. Overall, you’ll find many records naturally through the story progression, but collecting them all takes a bit of work.

You Need To Reach Act 3 To Get All 33 Records In Clair Obscur

To track down all 33 Records inClair Obscur, you need to get all the way to Act 3 and have access to all of Esquie’s exploration abilities, including flying and diving underwater. You will have to fight a few tough enemies, including one of the mischievous Mimes inClair Obscur.Personally, I waited until myClair ObscurNG+run to track down all the Records as you don’t get access to the most powerful weapon upgrade materials until then, and it makes the Endless Tower much easier.

Records are considered Quest Items and will not carry over to your NG+ run, as they are often tied to critical storylines inClair Obscur.

The Endless Tower is a challenging endgame tournament-style area with 11 stages, each featuring three challenges, fora total of 33 unique battles against a diverse range offormidable enemies. The Endless Tower is the ultimate test of prowess inClair Obscur, and it’s not for the faint of heart. Additionally, a handful of records require you toincrease the relationship levelswith each of the main characters in Clair Obscur, so be sure to speak with them one-on-one back at camp pretty often.

How To Get Every Record In Clair Obscur

Explore Every Area, Complete The Endless Tower, & Dive Deep Into Renoir’s Drafts

While many records are pretty straightforward, a handful can be a little tricky to track down. Be sure to speak with all the merchants on the Continent overworld, as they will typically have either a record, a new outfit, or haircuts available for purchase. One tricky Record to find is actually located inside the Manor, and you need totrigger four different switches around the dining room areato open a secret door with the"Nocturne Pour un Masque de Tristesse"Record inside.

Be sure to grab the Eternal Ice in Frozen Hearts by defeating the final Gargant, and return the ice to the merchant in Monoco’s Station to access his full inventory.

For"Clea, Don’t Pull Your Sister’s Hair!",you need tonavigate the optional Frozen Hearts area, which I’d recommend doing regardless, as it contains some excellent early-game loot, such as theGlaceso weapon for Verso. There’s a Manor door in this area that unlocks a room containing the journal. For the"Endless Light"Record, you will have to diveunderwater with Esquieinto Renoir’s Drafts, a challenging endgame area that will eventually lead you to Simon in The Abyss.

Overall, finding the 33 Record collectibles will take you all the way to Act 3 to complete, and the biggest challenge of doing so is completing the Endless Tower. This is certainly possible in your first playthrough, but I found it much easier to complete after exploring every other area and leveling my characters up significantly. Collecting all the Records inClair Obscur: Expedition 33unlocks the “Connoisseur” trophy/achievement, and you’ll have a nice vinyl collection to jam to while you’re back at camp.
