Many of us remember whenall 4 seasons ofSherlockplagued our thoughts, and if you watched the show when it aired from 2010 to 2017, you’ll know exactly why.

While it seems there is little hope of aSherlockseason 5anytime soon, there are other British TV shows well worth checking out, such asFleabag, which starsSherlock’s Andrew Scott.Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag characteris astounding, and her two-season comedy about her traumatic, yet hilarious, life can now be seen from start to finish on Amazon Prime Video.

Sherlock Fans Should Watch Fleabag For Andrew Scott’s Character

There are plenty of endearing qualities that makeSherlockworth watching, but if there’s any reason for you to start the Sherlock Holmes adaptation, it should be Andrew Scott’s Moriarty. Jim Moriarty is a fascinating character whose powers of manipulation know no bounds, and he dominates every scene he appears in, so it’s no surpriseSherlockis one ofAndrew Scott’s best TV shows.

It’s hard to imagine anybody else playing Moriarty inSherlockother than Scott. His rapport with Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular character is incredible to watch, and despite the number of scenes already like it, many wished to see the pair interact face to face more often. Together, they make one of thebest hero and villain duos in TVhistory.

When something unexpected happens inSherlock, you can never truly rule Moriarty out, even when he’s dead. Moriarty keeps both Sherlock Holmes and audiences guessing until the very last second, and a big reason as to why the character is so notable is because of Scott’s thrilling performance.

Andrew Scott’s Priest May Have Become Just As Memorable As His Moriarty

While Jim Moriarty is obviously a staple of the actor’s filmography,Andrew Scott’s other iconic TV roleis a very different character. InFleabag, Scott portrays someone only ever referred to as the Priest, but due to the soaring popularity of the character and the actor’s gripping performance, he is now often called the “Hot Priest.”

The Priest does the one thing that no other character inFleabaghas ever truly achieved, but he doesn’t do it on purpose. Meeting him allows Fleabag to let down her guard more, and over time, she falls in love with him. However, as a man of God, the Priest can never be with Fleabag.

Their connection is truly astounding, and it’s amazing to see a new and different side to Fleabag, but it’s equally heartbreaking to witness, especially duringFleabag’s ending. While the main purpose of the Priest character is to change Fleabag’s life, there’s more to him. For example, the Priest frequently offers comical throwaway remarks, and he even questions his faith at times.

Andrew Scott’s role inFleabagis absolutely brilliant, and it shows just how talented an actor he is. Jim Moriarty and the Priest are two very different characters, but Scott’s performances as both are perfect, and if you enjoyed him inSherlock, you’re guaranteed to love him inFleabag.
