This year’s Comic-Con has only begun and already,DC Comics is coming outstrong. At today’s “DC All In: What’s Next”, the creatives behindthe ongoing DC initiativegave fans some killer details about the future for DC Comics,including the Absolute Universeline as well as DC’s next major event,DC K.O.
During the panel, Joshua Williamson revealed that he would be teaming up with Dan Mora to createKnightfight, a miniseries to tie-in withDC K.O.Glimpses of the miniseriesshow Batman in a costume with some really cool New God touches, wielding a weapon as he prepares to fight his Robins, who have all become Batman as well.

This news follows DC Comics’ recent announcement regardingDC K.O.This fall, the characters of the DC Universe are going to compete in a tournament to select a champion to face off against Darkseid. The more fights one wins, the more Omega energy they accrue. But only one can brutallyfight their way to the top to become King Omega.
It makes sense that Batman is getting his own story duringDC K.O.. Despite how skilled he is, he probably wouldn’t last long in a competition where the world’s strongest are letting loose. But DC Comics isn’t passing up a chance to put Batman in a high-stakes situation (or pass up a chance to give him an incredibly cool costume).

How Will Batman Fare DuringDC K.O.?
Fans have only seen the briefest of peeks of what DC Comics has in store later this year. How Batman gains this new costume or his cool new weapon isn’t known just yet. But what is known is thatBruce is at his best when facing uphill battles, even if that uphill battle is a giant cosmic slugfest.
This event isn’t going to be easy for a hero like Bruce. But he’s been in dangerous situations before. Whatever the future has in store forBatman, the Dark Knight is going to find some way to survive the onslaught and, not to mention, look damn cool in his newest costume.
