Andor Season 2 Really IS That Good
Pushing The Boundaries of Star Wars In Exciting Ways
As noted inScreenRant’sown review forAndorseason 2, “Andor finishes its work in doubling down on what Rogue One started, pushing Star Wars beyond its old boundaries for a potency and relevance that none of its other properties have ever achieved.“The series truly is groundbreaking, providing an in-depth look at how a revolution affects not only an entire galaxy, but also individuals.Likewise,Andoris devoid of certain elements that have been critically panned in otherStar Warsshows, like gratuitous cameos.
While there is plenty of action,Andorseason 2 takes the time to have moments of poignant drama and tension. While centered primarily around Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor himself, the rest of the cast gets their time to shine including Genieve O’Reilly’s Mon Mothma, Stellen Skarsgård’s Luthen Rael, and Adria Arjona’s Bix Caleen. Returning faces fromRogue One, like Alan Tudyk’s K-2SO, are most welcome as well, and their inclusion is incredibly organic and worthwhile, serving the overall story incredibly well.
This Is The Bar By Which All Future Star Wars Will Be Measured
Andor’s Legacy Will Not Be Soon Forgotten
With a score as high as 98% and beating out all otherStar Warsprojects, it’s more than likely that Lucasfilm will be taking some serious notes. The legacy ofAndoris incredible, and it won’t be forgotten anytime soon onceAndorseason 2 reaches its final episode leading directly into 2016’sRogue One. While not everyStar Warsproject is going to be likeAndor(and shouldn’t), there’s no denying that the second and final season has set an impressive bar by which future projects will more than likely be measured.
Andorseason 2 premieres April 22nd with its first three episodes on Disney+.
