A potential remake ofPersona 4has been rumored for a while, and a new clue might suggest that not only does the game exist, but it may be announced soon. There has been speculation about a remake ofPersona 4since the release ofPersona 3 Reload, a remake of the third entry in the series. Additionally,a demo ofPersona 3 Reloadwas recently put up for download, over a year after release, and that may have been a precursor to build some interest in the franchise before a new announcement.

As reported byTwisted Voxel, thePersona 4remake domain has gotten an update, and this new update could be hinting at a reveal at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8. The domain for thePersona 4remake was registered back on March 20, which read, “p4re.jp.” It has now been updated, which follows a similar pattern to the onePersona 3 Reloadestablished before its reveal. Leaker and content creatoreXtas1s(language in Spanish) has also suggested that the game is coming and will be titled"Persona 4 Reload.“This information, of course,is currently unconfirmed.

The Persona 4 Remake May Be Following The Same Pattern As Persona 3 Reload

The Circumstances Are Very Similar

ForPersona 3 Reload’s announcement and release, a similar set of events occurred. The game’s domain was registered on Jul 17, 2025, and then the game was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase on Jun 19, 2025, with the game releasing in February 2024.This pattern may hold true for the alleged remake ofPersona 4, and we could see the game get announced at the upcomingXbox Games Showcase on June 8, and if it is there, it will likely also be a day-one Game Pass game, likePersona 3 Reloadwas before.

Persona 4vocalistShihoko Hirataalso took to Instagram around two months ago toannounce she was singing for a new project, which could very well be a remixed track of thePersona 4theme song for the potential remake. Of course, it could be a whole new song altogether, or even not related toPersona 4.

Our Take: The Evidence Is Piling Up For A Persona 4 Remake

Not 100%, But It’s Looking Likely

Given the critical and commercial success ofPersona 3 Reload, which sold over 1 million units in its first week and was Atlus' fastest-selling game untilMetaphor: Refantaziowas released just a few months later in October 2024, paired with a lot of rumors and this new domain update, thePersona 4remake is looking likely.Metaphor: Refantazio’s rapid sales and widespread acclaimwere enough to generate new interest in what was once a niche genre, and the success ofPersona 3 Reloadearlier in the same year may have set the foundation for it to be so successful.

Nothing has been confirmed about thePersona 4remake, or if it even exists, but given the new audience that Atlus games are finding in the West and the studio’s most recent successes, it seems like a no-brainer to remake what is arguably the most beloved entry in thePersonaseries. If these new rumors have any validity, we may get more information, or even an announcement, about the supposed remake in June.
