EA and Bioware have been rather vague regarding details about their upcoming third-person shooterAnthemever since it was shown off at E3 2017, and they have left many fans with more questions than answers regarding the highly anticipated game. This week,AnthemExecutive Producer Mark Darrah took to Twitter to answer a ton of fan questions regarding the game. In the impromptu-AMA, Darrah confirmed that there are currently no plans for PC and console cross-play when the game launches.

Cross-play is certainly a hot topic right now in the gaming community, especially after Microsoft and Nintendo teamed up tothrow shade at Sonyamid theFortniteaccount controversy. While Darrah has said that there are no plans for cross-play launch, there is currently no word on if cross-play may come to the game at a later date.

While players may not be able to play with friends on different platforms, BioWare is actively looking into the possibility ofcross-platform savesso players can switch platforms if they so choose. This would be a step in the right direction for cross-play, though obviously not as good as the real thing. It would also require console developers to play nice with each other so accounts aren’t locked to one console.

Darrah is still answering many questions on his Twitter account, including details about the Javelin system within the game. Fans have been dying to learn more about the class-like system of mech suits available inAnthem. Darrah did confirm that all suits will beearned through story missions, and fans get to pick the order in which they earn them. He also confirmed that loot will primarily drop for the currently-equipped Javelin, however there is a chance that loot will also drop for the other Javelin suits.
