The Old Ways Event forApex Legendswill arrive shortly, and with it comes a new town takeover, exclusive gear, and a much asked for permanent mode.
Apex Legendsis one of the most popular battle royales on the market, partially thanks to the barrage of content that Respawn has been able to unfurl towards fans. Tomorrow, on Jun 29, 2025, The Old Ways Event will begin, which centers around the popular Legend, Bloodhound.

The event will see a brand new town takeover named Bloodhound’s Trials on the World’s Edge map. There seem to be small shacks to loot, but also a gigantic temple of sorts, withProwlers, that fans had once found on leaked files, roaming about. Players can hold down against the onslaught of AI-controlled prowlers and get high tier loot inside of the Bloodhound temple.
The new event also comes with an event prize track where players can unlock a weapon charm, Gibraltor skin, an XP boost, and a Devotion skin. There will also be lifetime Bloodbound specific trackers, including damage, kills, and wins that can be unlocked, and a banner as well as a loading screen.
The direct shop store will also have limited time purchasable and themed skins that will be rotated in and out. Often these new events bring a fresh heirloom to the mix, and althoughfans seem to have datamined what may be the next heirloom, The Old Ways Event doesn’t come with such item.
Perhaps the most exciting change to come with the update is thepermanent addition of duos inApex Legends. Fans have been clamoring for duos in the game since it launched last year. So finally getting the mode, and having the bonus of map rotations where they can have fun on Kings Canyon and the new changes with World’s Edge, is the icing on the cake.
