EveryOverwatchhero has powerful abilities that can change the flow of the match, and Reinhardt is no different. While Earthshatter is a game changer, Charge is a risk-reward ability that can get Reinhardt into some tricky situations - though oneOverwatchplayer pulled off a perfect pin.
ComeOverwatch 2,Reinhardt’s Chargewill be significantly easier to use, as Blizzard will allow players to cancel the ability after it has already been activated. In the originalOverwatch, though, this is not an option. Once Charge has been activated, players will need to follow through, crashing into a wall or falling off the map to stop themselves. As such, well-timed pins are always impressive, especially ones that highlight situational awareness.

Recently, a member of theOverwatchcommunity named geezyclaps shared an incredible pin, with the lead-up to the moment proving to be just as entertaining as the pin itself. Titled “went fishing,” the clip begins with the Redditor hiding in a corner onOasis, waiting for the enemy team’s Reinhardt to come for the point. As soon as they did, geezyclaps peaked out just enough to bait the enemy Rein into a pin, quickly dodging the attack. They then landed a pin of their own, taking the enemy up the stairs and far from their team.
What makes the pin so great is that the Redditor takes the enemy Reinhardt the perfect distance, getting them to fall off the edge of the map while they stay in bounds. This trick will be a lot easier to pull off in the nextOverwatch 2betawhen the Charge is cancelable, but in the original game, it requires expert hero and map knowledge to make something like this happen. Seeing the enemy Rein fall to their death as geezyclaps returns to the point is incredibly satisfying, as is the reveal that this was one of many perfect pins.
Apparently, geezyclaps used this same exact trick to get 10 environmental kills in one game, something that was shown in the post-match cards. How exactly the enemy team kept falling into the Redditor’s trap is unclear, though the trick surely would have been impressive each time it was pulled off. Unsurprisingly, theOverwatchcommunitygot a kick out of the footage, with the post bringing in over 3,500 upvotes in the time since it was first posted. Many comments praised geezyclaps for their pin timing as well, as pulling off that maneuver once - let alone ten times - is truly impressive.
WithOverwatch 2’s new mapssure to bring some more pin spots for geezyclaps and other Reinhardt mains to mess with, more clips like this could be seen in the near future. For now, though, it seems like it would be worthwhile to start checking corners for sneaky Reinhardts on Oasis.
Overwatchis available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
