The first weekend of the open beta forBattlefield 6is officially over, and a developer from DICE is turning to fans for video submissions regarding some common gameplay complaints during the testing period for potential adjustments before the game’s full release. The first open beta period wasa massive success, leading to over 460,000 concurrent players on Steam and breaking several records, and the developers want feedback.

In a post to X byFlorian - DRUNKKZ3, which is the X account ofBattlefield 6principal game designer Florian Le Bihan, he asked for video examples of players dying unexpectedly fast, presumably gathering data and information to determine how to make adjustments to the time to kill for the full release. Lots of users posted videos of them getting one-shotted by the beta’s one shotgun, damage not taking 100 percent health and still killing, and a lot more.

Battlefield 6’s Time To Kill Is Being Watched

Damage May Change In The Full Game

Bihan made a follow-up post saying,“Got a bunch of good videos now, thanks folks,“after several fans submitted videos. Thisisn’t a guarantee that the time to kill will be adjusted by the time the game releases, but it’s clear that the developers are listening to player feedback to gather enough data to make adjustments. TheBattlefield 6receptionhas been mostly positive so far, and it looks like DICE is aiming to have the bestBattlefieldrelease yet.

Some users cited glitches of bullets not traveling, spawning, and health instantly dropping despite not taking visible damage, and other bugs. It’s worth noting this is an open beta, anda lot of the rough spots will be ironed outby the timeBattlefield 6releases on October 10.

Battlefield 6 Is Shaping Up To Be A Return To Form

There Seems To Be A Lot Of Passion For This Installment

DICE and publisher Electronic Artscame out swinging with the open beta. The return-to-form gameplay that has been missing sinceBattlefield 4has made a positive impression on fans, especially whenBattlefield’s biggest competitor,Call of Duty: Black Ops 6(andBlack Ops 7later this year), has rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way with its emphasis onstrange cartoon crossovers, microtransactions, and arcade-y gameplay.

Even better, after originally planning on having two separate sets of challenges and rewards for the two beta weekends, fans will now be able to earn the firstopen beta weekend rewards againwhen the second open beta period begins this coming weekend. With so much positivity surroundingBattlefield 6, fans seem to be eager to constructively help the developers make it the bestBattlefieldyet.
