Below Deck Down Underseason 3 has lost two of its exterior team members, and is now bringing in a new bosun in Nate Salmon and a new deckhand in Nicolas Cattelan, but the new pair could be bringing even more drama to Katina than the old. While Wihan, the difficut bosun who no one on Katina was fairing to like, was the right choice for the captain to terminate, Johnny’s poor reaction to a personal slight from Wihan made it tough to see him fired. Regardless of the emotions behind it,Captain Jason’s decision left the crew downtwo pivotal exterior team members, and he needed to act quickly to have them filled. Nate, a 29-year-old bosun who has four years of yachting experience, was excited to joinBelow Deck Down Under’screw despite having a late start with them. As a bosun,Nate seems like he’ll be an easygoing manager who understands how to give directions, which Wihan struggled with. While he does seem good with his job, Nate also seems like he has a fun, flirty side viewers will get to see on board.
Nicolas, who joinedBelow Deck Down Understraight away after Wihan and Johnnywere fired,seems like a refreshing person to have on board. While he may be a bit of a nerd, the fact that he came intoBelow Deck Down Underseason 3 quotingStar Trekfor the rest of the crew was a great show of his personality. Although Nicolas is going to be a big part ofBelow Deck Down Underseason 3’s exterior team, he’s also appearing to be an issue right out the gate. Upon arriving to Katina, Nicolas was working with a group of older women who were aboard for their charter, and one offered him a shot. WhileNicolas is new to the yachting industry, he should probably be aware that drinking on the job isn’t something he’s allowed to do. Even so, Nicolas took the shot and was chastised byBelow Deck’sBrianna Duffield, but seems like he could be a problem.

As Nicolas and Nate get more ingrained with the crew,Below Deck Down Underviewers will have the opportunity to see whether they work with the rest of their crew mates or not. Though some may find that they’re quick to struggle, it’s clear that Nate and Nicolas bothwant to be part of Katina’s crewand hope to make the best of their opportunities aboard the vessel. TheBelow Deck Down Underseason 3 cast members are going to do their best to work hard, butthey could be problematic for the show.
