Black Ops 7 Announces Beta Dates
Following the publication of this story,Call of Dutyannounced the beta dates forBlack Ops 7: early access to the beta starts October 2, with the open beta period lasting from October 5 to October 8. The information below has been updated to include more information on the beta.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7is a rare sequel to the franchise game that preceded it the year before, and has just announced its release date atGamescom Opening Night Live. Perhaps even more exciting, you’ll have a chance to try the game early with its open beta.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7islaunching worldwide on July 24, 2025, for PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Roughly a month before launch, the open beta is set to begin on October 2, though there is an early access period. The beta will last only a few days in early October, likely serving mainly as a server stress test for the developers.

WhenBlack Ops 7releases on November 14, it will supportfour-player co-op across virtually all of its modes, including campaign. It can be played solo, of course, and with a party of two or three, but four-player co-op is an effort to makeCall of Dutymore connected than ever. From the campaign and its Endgame mode, to the multiplayer andBlack Ops 7’s Zombies, the idea is to keep your squad together through it all.
While the numbering suggestsBO7is a sequel toBlack Ops 6, it is also following up onBlack Ops 2. Treyarch’s latest takes place in 2035, andcontinues the story of David Mason, protagonist ofBO2and the son of originalBlack Opsmain character Alex Mason.Black Ops 7’s viral marketinghas already set up a faction known as The Guild, which positions itself as a vanguard for humanity via the weapons and technology it manufactures.

Like in years past, the open beta period will require no prerequisites for participation – you’ll simply have to download the beta client on your platform of choice. It will likely be the only opportunity to tryCall of Duty: Black Ops 7before its full launch on November 14.
