The Otsutsuki Clan has played a pivotal role in theBorutoseries and are central to the overarching plot of the story. Introduced towards the end ofNaruto, the original story paved the way forBorutoto explore these mighty powerful gods and the series certainly did its job to flesh out these powerful alien parasites to the fullest.Characters such as Momoshiki Otsutsukiand Kinshiki Otsutsuki were introduced in the story at the very beginning, and since then, this clan has only gotten more involved in the plot moving forward.

If there’s one thing that the Otsutsuki Clan is known for, it’s their tremendous strength and that’s been apparent since the very first glimpse that fans got of these monsterswith Kaguya Otsutsuki. Recently, inBoruto, fans were introduced to the strongest of their kind and someone who stood above all living creatures in the world ofNaruto, Shibai Otsutsuki.
Who Is Shibai Otsutsuki?
Shibai Otsutsuki was introduced in the story recently as the strongest of all the Otsutsuki clan members by none other than Amado. It is believed that Shibai existed a millennia ago and hunted for power,just as all Otsutsuki do. He, too, wanted access to tremendous strength and he most certainly targeted other life forms for it. Going from planet to planet, Shibai Otsutsuki drained them all of their power by harvesting chakra fruits from them, completely destroying the planets in the process while attaining all that tremendous power for himself.
He lay ruin to countless planets and kept consuming life to a point where he was unrivaled in the universe. At some point, Shibai also came to the earth, which is likely how Amado found out about his existence. Or perhaps, that was through none other than Jigen himself. Regardless,Shibai had grown too powerfulto simply exist as a mortal being. Strong as the Otsutsuki are, they still aren’t actual Gods but Shibai managed to break the rule.
At some point, Shibai grew so powerful that he ascended to a whole different realm of existence and, to do this, he left his mortal body behind. Shibai was too powerful for the living world and ended up becoming an actual God, which is astonishing, to say the least.
The Power Of Shibai Otsutsuki
It goes without saying that Shibai Otsutsuki was the strongest of all in the world ofNaruto. Out of all the Otsutsuki, he existed as one who stood atop them all and the difference in strength between him and the other Otsutsuki was massive as well. In fact, characters such as Isshiki Otsutsuki aimed to be just like him and wanted to consume countless Chakra Fruits to ascend to the next level, just like Shibai.

Beings such as Kaguya Otsutsuki or even the Sage of Six Paths would simply have been no match for Shibai, such was his grand power. According to Amado, Shibai possessed power that allowed him to use chakra without the need for handseals, and while that isn’t special, Shibai was in a class of his own. His techniques were so impressive that they couldn’t even be classified as Ninjutsu or Senjutsu. Instead, they were classed as Shinjutsu, or Godly Techniques – fitting for a God of his stature.
With a mere wave of his hand, he could create a storm powerful enough to destroy all lands and with a roar of his voice, he could create powerful thunderstorms and summon lightning. Shibai was, simply put, way too powerful, and none could match the level of strength that he possessed.
The Future Of Shibai Otsutsuki
As mentioned by Amado towards the end of his discussion with Naruto, Shibai Otsutsuki is no longer with them. He ascended to the God Realm, however, Amado firmly believes thatShibai still exists outside of his mortal body. This is something that Momoshiki Otsutsuki, who resides within the body of Boruto Uzumaki went on to confirm. Momoshiki revealed that Shibai did, in fact, exist and that he was the strongest of them all. He also confirmed that Shibai ascended to a different realm altogether, which is basically what Amado had hypothesized. His mortal body was used to grant the powers of Shinjutsu to the likes of Code, who gained the Claw Marks, Eida, who gained the Senrigan and Omnipotence, and even Daemon, who gained his ability to reflect damage. It is entirely possible that Shibai will return to the story in the future as he isn’t dead by any means. Given that Kishimoto has taken the bold step to introduce someone as strong as him, Shibai is surely going to be more relevant to the story in the future.
Whether that will be immediately or much later when the curtain on the entire story is close to being dropped remains to be seen.
