What Nautilus' New Clip Says About The Show
There’s Initial Tension Between Nemo & Humility
Based on the show’s latest clip,it seems like there will be initial tension between Nemo and Humility, especially since she’s not on theNautilusof her own volition. The tension between the pair signals that, while she may have been responsible for saving the crew from something life-threatening, not much trust has built up between them. Based ontrailers forNautilus, though, it appears she’s not going to be a prisoner forever, with this being just the first impression the two lead characters get of each other as their adventures begin.
Nautiluswas originally released on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland on June 25, 2025.

The new clip also offers more insight into Nemo’s reason for stealing the submarine and traveling the oceans with his crew. WhileHumility herself isn’t directly responsible for his enslavement, the clip signals her society is responsible for Nemo’s own imprisonment. It adds another layer of context to the adventure, which, in reality, is more of an escape from a terrible situation. The series might seem like aPirates of the Caribbean-inspired taleon the surface, but its themes signal something deeper about its presentation.
Our Take On Nemo & Humility’s Conversation In Nautilus' Latest Clip
The Two Are Not Starting Out On The Right Foot
Although it seems like Humility is going to become a permanent part of the adventure inNautilus, her and Nemo are not allies from the start. Her imprisonment indicates it’ll take quite some time before the pair can adjust to one another, despite seemingly doing something that saved his crew earlier. With the show promising plenty of high-octane moments inspired by Verne’s original novel, there will be plenty of scenarios in which the pair can settle their differences.
Nautiluspremieres with two episodes Sunday, June 29 on AMC and AMC+.
