Sciel is the perfect candidate for a support character inClair Obscur: Expedition 33, as she has some of the best skills that provide buffs to allies. Sciel uses a dual-bladed scythe as her main weapon, and her combat style incorporates Foretell stacks, Sun and Moon charges, as well as a powerful Twilight State that gives her unique buffs. Sciel’s various Harvest skills are perfect for a support build and will enhance the overall efficacy of your party makeup by providing allies with healing effects, extra AP, and even status buffs such as Powerful and Rush.
Sciel’s various Skills inClair Obscur: Expedition 33are categorized into Sun and Moon Skills, with both types interacting with Foretell stacks in different ways. Sun skills will always add more Foretell stacks to an enemy, while Moon Skills will consume Foretell to deal additional damage or other effects. If Sciel has both a Sun and Moon charge available, she will consume those charges to enter a special Twilight State, which will give her increased damage with Skills, add more Foretell charges with Sun Skills, and increase the limit of Foretell stack cap from 10 to 20.

Best Weapons & Attributes For Sciel In Clair Obscur
The Chation Scythe Scales With Vitality & Luck
While you’ll find a ton of different Sciel weaponsexploring inClair Obscur, one of my top choices can be found relatively early and used all the way up to the endgame. The Chation scythe is found near the end of Act 1 in Stone Wave Cliffs, and it has some excellent buffs for a Sciel support build. These include an upgrade bonus at Level 4 thatensures Sun Skills always apply 10 Foretell, but at the cost of taking double damage from enemies. This debuff is easily offset, however, due to Sciel’s various other healing abilities and buffs.
At Level 10, you’ll get an upgrade bonus on the Chation that buffs Sciel’s Base Attack to provide one Moon charge and consume all Foretell to apply Burn to an enemy. This effect pairs especially well with both Maelle’s and Lune’s various Fire-based Burn stacking Skills, but is even further enhanced at Level 20 to deal 100% increased Burn damage during Twilight state. Chation scales primarily with Vitality, which should be your main attribute investment alongside Luck. Vitality will give Sciel extremely high Health while also increasing Chation’s damage, and Luck will increase Critical Hit chance for offensive strikes.

Best Skills For Sciel In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Utilize Sciel’s Harvester Skills For The Best Support Build
While there are many ways ofplaying Sciel inClair Obscur, this build includes a balance between Sun and Moon skills and allows you to focus on dealing damage with your other party members. The Chation scythe will automatically stack 10 Foretell with Sun Skills, so any of the lower-cost Sun Skills are sufficient, and you caninclude some of the better Moon skills to benefit from the easy Foretell stacks.
For this build, be sure to use all three Harvest skills: Harvest, Grim Harvest, and Plentiful Harvest. Harvest should be reserved for when Sciel is pretty low on Health, and it can be swapped out for other support Skills.

Grim Harvest deals medium single-target Dark damage while also healing your entire party, while Plentiful Harvest will deal medium single-target Physical damage and will give a random party member +1 AP for each Foretell removed. One of the best support Skills for Sciel isAll Set, whichgives your entire party Shell, Powerful, and Rush. This should be the first go-to attack on Sciel’s starting turn, and will set your party up for success at the beginning of every battle. For your main damage-dealer, I recommend Final Path as it deals very high single-target damage and can Break.
Best Pictos & Luminas For Sciel
Recovery, Defensive Mode, & Cleansing Tint Will Boost Sciel’s Defense
In terms of best Pictos and Lumina passives for Sciel, this build incorporates some of the higher Health buffs available in the game, particularly Recovery, Defensive Mode, and Cleansing Tint. Recovery is a unique Pictos thatautomatically heals you by 10% at the start of each turn, but you’ll have to spend a pretty large sum of Chroma to get it from the mysterious speaking fountain in Red Woods. This Pictos provides a massive Health boost to boot. When combined with the other two Pictos, it will make sure Sciel isn’t constantly dying.
The passive effects from Pictos become available as Luminas once you’ve won four battles with the Pictos equipped.

Defensive Mode will consume 1 AP to reduce damage received by 30%, and it can be found after defeating the Lampmaster in Stone Wave Cliffs. The final Pictos, Cleansing Tint, is found very early at the Indigo Tree in Spring Meadows and allows Healing Tints to clear status effects as well. When it comes to passive Lumina effects, you’ll definitely want toincorporate as many Defensive and Support buffs as possible, particularly any Shell buffs such as SOS Shell and Longer Shell. Energising Start Luminas that increase starting AP are generally recommended for all characters and build types.
You should also consider Healing Parry and Auto Regen. Healing Parry recovers 3% Health on parry, while Auto Regen gives 3 rounds of Health regen at the start of battle. Sweet Kill is another good Lumina for Sciel and will heal her by 50% when she kills an enemy. Faster Than Strong is another interesting option thatallows a character to play twice in a row at the cost of only dealing 50% damage. Since Sciel won’t be your primary damage dealer, this isn’t as big of a loss as it sounds, though there are plenty of other Lumina options if you don’t like the damage debuff.

Because she has such a wide range of Skills, Sciel is equally viable for an offensive-focused build that incorporates more of her damage-dealing attacks. If you have Monoco set up for a support build and use him in your party, I’d recommend a more offensive approach to Sciel that takes advantage of skills such as Phantom Blade and Spectral Sweep. Regardless of your preferred playstyle inClair Obscur: Expedition 33,Sciel is among the best options for both a support class and damage-dealer as long as you are able to stack Foretell and use Twilight state strategically.
