Comedian Conan O’Brien is joining the cast ofToy Story 5in a mysterious new role. The upcoming Pixar sequel, directed by Andrew Stanton ofFinding NemoandWALL-E, was announced nearly a year ago and will explore Woody, Buzz, and moreToy Storycharactersamong the growing usage of technology. O’Brien has hosted many popular talk shows, includingConan, and has previously voiced himself inThe Simpsonsand The Riddler inThe Lego Batman Movie.
After the casting was first announced at Disney’s Licensing Expo presentation,O’Brienrecently took to Instagram and confirmed that he would be joiningToy Story 5andportraying a character named Smarty Pants, but additional details remain unknown. However, given some of his past acting roles and comedic background, O’Brien will likely make Smarty Pants a memorable franchise addition.
