What This Means For Toy Story 5

There Will Be More New Characters

While Woody and Buzz, voiced by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, respectively, will be back for the sequel, how the beloved characters and Smarty Pants get along remains unclear. However, given some of his past acting roles and comedic background, O’Brien will likely make Smarty Pants a memorable franchise addition. BecauseToy Story 5features technologyand electronic devices, there could be even more new characters introduced, along with other familiar toys, including Combat Carl (played byGhostbustersstar Ernie Hudson after original voice actor Carl Weathers passed away).

Toy Storycontinues to launch new characters to appear opposite Woody and Buzz, and by having them take on various roles throughout the animated franchise,it may be hard to predict what kind of effect Smarty Pants has.WhenToy Story 4premiered, audiences quickly became enthusiastic about Forky (voiced by Tony Hale), the plastic googly-eyed utensil Bonnie made, and other toys, including Gabby Gabby and Duke Caboom, were found at a carnival and antique store. Lotso, who turned out to be a villainous, but distinctive stuffed bear, was also introduced in the later sequels.
