Crackdown 3is rapidly approaching its February 15 release date, the culmination of what’s been a longer-than-expected development time. Today Microsoft confirmed one final detail that fans have been expecting for some time, thatCrackdown 3will be available via anXbox Game Passsubscription on its launch day.

By no means has Microsoft ever implied thatCrackdown 3wouldn’t be a launch day Xbox Game Pass addition, of course. Ever since Microsoft promised that several of itsfirst-party Xbox releaseswould be included on Game Pass as they launch, it hasn’t gone back on its word. Nevertheless, givenCrackdown 3’s multiple delays, there was some worry involved. Microsoft reconfirming the action game’s availability through its subscription service should assuage those worries.

One last detail left for Microsoft, orCrackdown 3developer Sumo Digital, to clarify is whether or not the game still features cross-play between PC and Xbox One players. Cross-play was confirmed to be enabled by theCrackdown 3team back in 2016, but obviously much has changed in the game since then. With the competitive multiplayer modeWrecking Zonebecome more of a focus for the game, perhaps the team’s reconsidered cross-play. The feature certainly isn’t listed onCrackdown 3’s Xbox website profile, however.

More information onCrackdown 3and its release plans will be coming tonight during the Xbox team’s first Inside Xbox livestream event. Microsoft’s saidCrackdown 3will be “center stage” at the event. Check it out via Xbox’s assorted streaming accounts on Mixer, Twitch, and elsewhere.
