Unfortunately, thischibi version ofLord of Mysterieswas excluded from Crunchyroll’s broadcast.

Lord of Mysteries' chibi version featured Zhou Mingrui’s life before being transmigrated to Tingen, revealing the reason why he decided to perform the Luck Enhancement Ritual and how he learned about it.This extra content makes Klein Moretti’s character more relatable and also balances the lack of slice-of-life moments in the adaptation that had to be cut for time constraints.

The extra content also explains why it was easy for Zhou Mingrui to sympathize both with Captain Dunn Smith, since he showed genuine concern for him, and with the family of the original Klein, having experienced beforehand the struggles of the working class. Sadly, since Crunchyroll didn’t provide this additional content, it will prevent international fans from getting the full viewing experience.
