Leading into this major event isJustice League: The Omega Act #1by Joshua Williamson and Yasmine Putri which sees a desperate Time Trapper approach the Justice League with a chance to rewrite history for the better.DC K.O.will also have tie-in issues with ongoingtitles such asSuperman,Titans,The Flash, andJustice League Unlimited.

DC’s Biggest Icons are Getting Ready for the Fight of Their Lives!

After Darkseid’s physical body was destroyed, his energy settled in the mysterious new Absolute Universe. There, he became strong enough to empower a dark, new Legion of Super-Heroes to invade the future of the Prime DC Universe. Though the League has monitored the fallout of his death, they’ve yet to discoverhow powerful Darkseid has become.

There’s so much going on with this event, but the short of it is that DC’s heroes are facing off in a five-round bracket tournament to amass as much Omega Energy as possible. Whoever wins will hopefully have enough Omega Energy to face off against Darkseid. But who will win, and what will happen when they confront the evil villain?

DC K.O.is a Major Moment for the DC Universe

DC’s Next Champion is The Heroes' Only Shot at Beating Darkseid

With a tournament like this, it’s likely going to be one of the heavy hitters that wins. Superman is practically a lock, but don’t count out Wonder Woman or the Flash. But whoever wins, they’ve got one of the biggest responsibilities weighing on their shoulders. They’re going to have to go up againstDarkseid in his strongest form yet.

The heroes might not want to beat the snot out of each other, but they don’t really have a choice. They need all the Omega Energy they can get. Hopefully, the victor of this tournament is someone who not only knows how to properly use it, but who is prepared to give everything to save the DC Universe.

Justice League: The Omega Act #1is available on October 1st andDC K.O. #1is available on October 8th from DC Comics.
