Similar toMetal Gear Solid 3and5,Death Stranding 2: On the Beachfeatures a bunch of in-game animals to find and collect. These are highlighted in the opening and ending pre-rendered cinematics, which look so life-like thatsome viewers believed they were real. Two trophies are attached to finding animals, and, thankfully, you won’t need to catch ‘em all likeMGS5.
However, you’ll still need to deliver one rare albino animal, which you must find normally. You won’t be fishing for it, which is a bit of amissed opportunity forDeath Stranding 2. Albino animals are hard to find and recognize, but there’s an incredible spot that’ll kill two birds with one stone: getting theRare Specimen Rescuer and Rail Restorer trophies at the same time, making it the most convenient method during yourDeath Stranding 2Platinum journey.

What An Albino Animal Is & How To Find One
Hard To Recognize In The First Place
LikeRed Dead Redemption 2, there are plenty of cool andrare animals to catch, but finding out which ones you grabbed is easier said than done. An albino animal inDeath Stranding 2is arare variant of a certain animal that has pure white fur. InRed Dead Redemption 2, you have handy binoculars that will detail the animal you’re looking at, but inDeath Stranding 2, you only get a tiny amount of help.
Special animals delivered to the Animal Shelter for Sub Orders do not count toward the trophy.

Dollman will not comment if the animal you spot is a rare variant. Instead, you must use an obscure menu feature to ensure that the animal you’re carrying is the rare type or not. Go into the Cargo menu and highlight the specific animal. Read the item description, andlook for a second sentence detailing a rare specimen. If the first paragraph is one short sentence, you do not have an albino animal. You can find these special animals in many spots, but the location of the albino Tasmanian Devil is the best available.
The Best Place To Capture An Albino Animal
The Sneaky Devil In The Back
During the early portions ofDeath Stranding 2, you must build a monorail line near West Fort Knot (F1) as part of the story. One of the trophies is Rail Restorer, which requires you to fully reopen an entire monorail line from start to finish, and since you’ve already built portions of it, the best monorail line here must be the one fromWest Fort Knot (F1) all the way to the Mine near F3 Crater. The mine is located northeast of The Dowser.
The other easiest albino animal to find is the albino Kangaroo, but that’s farther away from the Animal Shelter.

It’s phenomenal that the monorail line ends in this specific location becauseyou can also find the albino Tasmanian Devil here. Right behind the Mine near F3 Crater, you may find plenty of Chiral Crystals along with a sneaky albino Tasmanian Devil towards the edge. I found the animal at nighttime, and once you’ve caught it, simply head all the way back to the Animal Shelter to pop your trophy once delivered. It’ll take a while to backtrack to the Shelter, so you’re best off handling orders on the way there.
Since you’ll be coming to the Mine near F3 Crater to complete the Rail Restorer trophy, this has to be the most time-saving route when going for theDeath Stranding 2Platinum. The other easiest albino animal to find is the albino Kangaroo, but that’s farther away from the Animal Shelter, being in the desert near The Motherhood. The Mine spot is closer, plus you’ll work towards two trophies at once, making it the best place to get the Rare Specimen Rescuer trophy inDeath Stranding 2.
