This article contains SPOILERS for Dexter: Resurrection season 1, episode 4.The creators ofDexter: Resurrectionconfirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that there was a very subtle cameo in episode 4 that most viewers probably missed. InResurrectionepisode 4, Dexter (Michael C. Hall) sees a vision of an infamous serial killer after stepping into Leon Prater’s (Peter Dinklage) museum of serial killers. ScreenRantattended theDexter: Resurrectionpanel at San Diego Comic-Con and learned thatResurrectionexecutive producer and writer Scott Reynolds actually has a small cameo in episode 4 as infamous serial killer John Wayne Gacy. The footage of Gacy actually comes fromDexter: Original Sinepisode 7, however, meaning Reynolds has recently had parts in two of thefourDextershows.

Scott Reynolds also has a long history with theDexterfranchise. Reynolds wrote 18 episodes of the originalDexterfrom season 2 until season 8, two episodes ofNew Blood, one episode ofOriginal Sin, and one episode ofResurrection. Interestingly, Reynolds also played a murder victim in season 7. That means thatReynolds is one of just three people to appear in threeDextershows.
