The game, which started two years ago in August 2023, is a competitive card game that brings together characters from across the Disney universe in beautifully designed cards that have become popular for both players of the game and Disney collectors. Disney Lorcana: Fabledwill be releasedon June 01, 2025, for local hobby stores and other select locations, and then launch to mass market retailers on September 5. The set is going to feature many reprinted cards from the first couple of sets to help alleviate the sting of the new set rotation policy that will go into effect beginning withFabled.Despite having only 33 mechanically new cards in the set, two beloved movies are both joining the gamewith highly anticipated characters.

Goofy, Max, And Powerline Make A Musical Entrance
In celebration of its 30th anniversary,A Goofy Movieis joining the lineup ofDisney Lorcanaproperties. Although it was announced several months ago, alongsidenews thatDarkwing Duckwill arrive in 2026, six stunning cards have just been revealed. Among these areEnchanted rarities of the song “I2I” and the character “Powerline - World’s Greatest Rockstar”, as well as their more commonly found versions.
The new Epic rarity type also shows up with the song “Stand Out"having both an Epic version and an uncommon version. Epic rarities still feature beautiful alternate card designs but will bemore commonly found than the Enchanted or Iconictypes. This type is designed to makeDisney Lorcanamore collector-friendly through its greater pull chance but still being very nice-looking cards.

Goofy isn’t the only big-eared character to join the game withFabled,though.Dumbohas been noticeably absent from theDisney Lorcanauniverse since the game began, but is finally flying in to join his fellow glimmers. Two cards,“Dumbo - The Flying Elephant” and “Timothy Q. Mouse - Flight Instructor”, have been revealedfor the set. Both are in the Amethyst ink and interestingly feature mechanics using Evasive, which is something not commonly found on Amethyst cards.
These two beloved franchises will certainly cause a stir, but being intermixed with so many reprinted cards could still make theFabledset less popular overall. However, for new players wanting to get into the game,Disney Lorcana: Fabledcould be the perfect time to do just that when it releases in a few weeks.
