Downton Abbeyis making its grand return to television ahead of the release of the third and seemingly final movie later this year. The long-runningBritish television seriesaired for six seasons before concluding its initial run, but the cast of the show returned for two more movies in 2019 and 2022 before the upcoming film.
Ahead of the release ofThe Grand Finale, though,Downton Abbeyis returning to television for an NBC primetime special, perVariety.The special, meant to celebrate the entire franchise, will air on September 10 on NBC before streaming on Peacock the next day. It will feature exclusive interviews with the cast, filmed during the production ofThe Grand Finale.
