NCIS: Originsstar Mariel Molino has shared her hopes for a Lala and Gibbs season 2 romance. Throughout the course ofNCIS: Originsseason 1, a Gibbs and Lala romance has been teased on several occasions, but the two has yet to kiss, despite some almost moments. TheNCIS: Originsseason 1 finaleepisode potentially removed this possibility, when Lala had a serious car accident, leaving her fate unclear, and her life could be hanging in the balance.
PerDeadline, Molino discussed her hopes for a romance between the two principal leads of the show.She expressed her desire to see something finally happen between Gibbs and her character, should Lala survive the season 1 cliffhanger car accident that saw her seriously injured after swerving to avoid a child. She added that she hopes Lala and Gibbs will finally kiss, something which has been teased several times over the season. Check out Molino’s comments below:

There Should Be Hope For The Pair If Lala Survives

However, if Lala does survive, which Molino seems hopeful she will, this should open the door to a romance finally blossoming for her and Gibbs. So far,the closest Gibbs and Lala has gotten to anything romantic was their almost-kissin a pool, but things could really progress in season 2 if Lala recovers from her accident.

A Gibbs-Lala romance is something the show has been building up for a whole season, and the slow-burn nature of the storyline could make for a rewarding conclusion.
