A Reddit user named Bandit_Ke1th has made a new post confirming that they finally defeated Maliketh, The Black Blade after trying for six months. In the post’s title, Bandit_Ke1th mentions that theyuninstalledElden Ringtwice because they couldn’t beat Maliketh, but finally managed to do so after giving it another go. The player makes note of the satisfaction of beating a challenging boss, but users in the comments section point to one of the reasons why they failed for six months.

As seen in the image, Bandit_Ke1th has a tiny health pool for this stage of the game, as they have beenignoring vigor while leveling up inElden Ring. Maliketh is one of the final few mandatory bosses in the game, and FromSoftware probably balanced this fight around a much larger pool of health. Some users joke that Bandit_Ke1th will uninstallElden Ringonce more after facing the next story boss Gideon, followed by a discussion of the fight’s difficulty and how users can defeat him.

A majority of the comments discuss the low vigor stat, with one wondering why Bandit_Ke1th continued to push through. Some players also point out that Bandit_Ke1th has a5% health debuff after hugging Fia inElden Ring, making the fight all the more challenging. While Maliketh is considered difficult, users appear to agree that the player would not have taken six months to beat him with a larger health pool. The rest of the comments feature moreElden Ringtips, with fans discussing strategies for the various bosses present in the game.
