The game’s closed beta is in high demand, and enthusiastic fans have beenscouring Twitch in the hopes of getting a beta code.Although Riot Games has continued to quietly distribute access codes, the developer recently announced some new changes to how it will drop beta codes in the future.
Outside of the beta codes,Valoranthas worked a lot with Twitch and its streamers before. For example, Riot Games unveiled the characterRaze on a TimTheTatman stream.Although only the most popular streamers got exclusive access to the new characters and beta access codes, a recent update toValorant’s website revealed that the game would be expanding on its relationship with Twitch.

According to Riot, allValorantTwitch streams will be able to drop beta codes for players. The developer warned that it would not be increasing the number of drops it distributes. However, rather than requiring fans to watch selected streamers, potentialValorantplayers can watch any Twitch stream about the shooter to be eligible. Riot then teased that drops can happen at any time, and promised that Brazil, Korea and Latin America would also be able to access the beta soon.
Although fans might be disappointed that Riot will not be releasing more beta access codes than before, the developer is making access to the game easier by allowing players to choose anyValorantstream they want. This decision makes sense, since the closed beta server has already been expanded once to meet demand and Riot had already granted access to a few thousand other players manually. With apotential mobile version of the shooter in development,it’s clear that the developer does care about the game’s growing community.
Until they get their hands on a beta access code,Valorantfans will have to keep watching streams to get an idea of the gameplay experience.
