Fate/Grand Orderplayers have been busy in July withFGO’s3rd anniversaryand just finishing the Summer 2 rerun a day ago. But there’s no breaks as August begins since the Summer 3 event kicks off tomorrow. From August 3rd to August 22nd, masters and their servants are going on a trip to Hawaii for the Servant Summer Festival.
While Summer 1 was a stranded island adventure and Summer 2 referenced JoJo’s Steel Ball Run, Summer 3 is heavily influenced by Comiket, the biggest fan convention in the world where groups come together to sell self-published comics about their favorite manga or anime. The Chaldea team is initially sent to deal with a Foreigner-servant threat but find themselves participating in the celebration. Much like the time and effort spent on creating doujins, players will find this event is very grindy compared to the last few.

Point Ladders
Although some previous events likeValentines 2020included a point system, the Servant Summer Festival has 3 different ladders called Doujin Motivation, Doujin Technique, and Doujin Imagination. Each Doujin ladder has its own rewards including a Crystallized Lore as the grand prize, but players will complete them at different times depending on which quests they choose to do first. Later on, the event has several requirements gated by the Doujin points acquired, but the total from all 3 ladders is measured in those cases.
7-Day Loop
Summer 3 is unique since the story moves through a 7-day period where certain quests only appear at fixed times on specific days. Completing 2 free quests will move the day from noon-phase into night-phase and then the next day. At the end of the week, completing a final quest rewards a Craft Essence that boosts all Doujin point drops by 10-percent and resets the week back to day 1 in a new loop. Story quests will appear regardless during the first week, but once the looping begins, players need to gather enough Doujin points otherwise the next story part won’t pop up. In that case, another loop is needed to get back to that day and time after satisfying the point requirement. Similarly, there are side quests for 3 Command Codes and 3 Costume Dresses for Edmond Dantes, Gilgamesh (Caster), and Robin Hood that are unlocked with enough points later on.
Event Shop
Summer 3’s shop is packed with EXP cards, valuable Ascension materials including several fromLostbelt 2, and event CEs that boost each of the Doujin points acquired. Players that want to buy everything need to gather 4200 BB $ Bills, 4000 Fluffy $ Bills, and 5800 Gil $ Bills from event quests.
Jeanne D’arc Alter (Berserker)
When the event begins, Jeanne D’arc Alter temporarily joins the player’s party. This Berserker version of the community’s favorite dragon witch is a pure glass cannon with a single-target Buster Noble Phantasm and skills that increase her attack, Buster card effectiveness, and charge her NP gauge. Completing all the main story quests and accumulating 1 million Doujin points will make Jeanne D’arc Alter a permanent addition to the roster. Afterward, she can be ascended to Level 80 with the ‘Pitch Black Quill’ ascension material that can be acquired from Doujin point ladders and the shop. However, players need to wait 1 week until additional quests open up to get Jeanne D’arc Alter to NP5.
Event Bonus Servants
To help out with farming, the new Summer 3 servants and others appearing in the story will increase all Doujin point drops by a percentage. The previous Summer 1 and 2 servants will also give a smaller boost.
