Dragon Ball’sGoku vs. Superman is a fight anime fans have been looking forward to for a long time, but Goku isn’t the only anime hero who could give the Man of Steel a run for his money. Goku and Superman have a lot in common. They’re both two of the last men from their home planets, sent to Earth when their worlds were being destroyed.
Goku and Superman are also both incredibly powerful and two of the most iconic characters in media. Still, there are a few characters in anime that have a pretty good chance of taking the Last Son of Krypton out.

Beating Superman is no easy feat. He’s widely considered to be one ofthe strongest characters in the DC Universe. To beat Superman, an anime character would need power beyond comprehension. They’d need to be nearly invulnerable, or have some way of overcoming Superman’s godlike abilities.
10Saitama
One-Punch Man
If there’s a fight anime fans want to see more than anything, it’sSaitama vs. Goku. Saitama has quickly become one of the most popular characters around, and he has never wanted to be. He’s a normal character who’s become bored with his own strength, and it’s that strength that would make the One-Punch Man the perfect character to take Superman out.
Saitama’s name isn’t just for show: the hero can defeat nearly all of his enemies with a single punch. There are few characters in his universe that can withstand more than one attack from him, and even less that can even damage the hero. Saitama hasn’t faced a real threat yet, and Superman definitely wouldn’t be one of them.

9Ainz Ooal Gown
Overlord
Ainz Ooal Gown is easily one of the strongest characters in isekai anime. He’s the star ofOverlord,a refreshing isekai series that allows its main character to be whatever he wants. While most isekai series thrust their protagonist into a new world and force them to become the savior, Ainz has other ideas in mind.
Ainz was already one of the strongest characters in the video game he was trapped in, but after he couldn’t return to the real world, his powers seem to have reached another level. He also commands some of the strongest characters in the entire series, meaning Superman would have his hands full taking on the entire Tomb of Nazarick.

8Anos Voldigoad
The Misfit of Demon King Academy
Anos Voldigoad, the protagonist fromThe Misfit of Demon King Academy, might be the textbook definition of overpowered. He’s so strong that he essentially killed himself so that he could create peace in his own world. Instead of staying dead like any other character would have, Anos was reincarnated back into his own world centuries later.
Anos is so strong that even gods can’t comprehend it. He’s survived death itself countless times, and he’s so strong that he can basically do whatever he wants. Superman wouldn’t have too hard of a time killing Anos, but death doesn’t mean much to this extremely powerful character.

7Shigeo Kageyama (Mob)
Mob Psycho 100
Mob Psycho 100has gone down in history as one ofthe best anime of all time, and it’s all because of Mob. Shigeo Kageyama, better known as Mob, is a sweet, innocent, relatively naive character who sees the best in everyone around. While he’s one of the deepest and most interesting characters around, he’s also one of the strongest.
Mob spends most of the series surpressing his ridicilous powers. On the few occasions that he lets loose, he’s like a walking hurricane. There isn’t a character in the series who can stop him when he’s at full power, and Superman would have a tough time even getting near this behemoth of a middle schooler.

6Sung Jinwoo
Solo Leveling
Solo Levelingis the hottest anime series of the past few years. Sung Jinwoo, the main character from the series, has proved thatedgy anime doesn’t have to be bad. He’s a dark, brooding character whose story makes the shonen series feel like it’s finally returning to its peak. Jinwoo spends the beginning ofSolo Levelingas the weakest character in it.
By the end of the series, he’s closer to a god than a human. Not only does Jinwoo become ridiculously strong, but he also controls a Shadow Army filled with some of the strongest characters around. If Superman was even able to beat Jinwoo, it would be impossible for him to take on the Second Shadow Monarch and his Shadow Army at the same time.

5Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto
Naruto is anothercharacter who goes from zero to herothrough the course of his series. At the start ofNaruto, the titular protagonist is an angsty kid without a lot of control. By the end, he’s acquired the power of gods and has mastered abilities that even his strongest enemies have a hard time understanding.
Baryon Mode is Naruto’s strongest form by far. It’s a form on par with Goku’s Ultra Instinct, giving Naruto the ability to transcend thought and move as if he could see the future. Not only does Naruto have access to Baryon Mode, he’s also mastered ninjutsu that could destory the entire world. Superman wouldn’t have a chance against the Seventh Hokage.

4Satoru Gojo
Jujutsu Kaisen
Satoru Gojo might be the most popular anime character of the newest generation. He’s nonchalant, cooler than the other side of the pillow, and ridiculously powerful. He’s known as the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer of the modern age and everytime he’s on-screen it’s easy to see why. Gojo has both the Six Eyes and the Limitless technique, two ofthe strongest techniques inJujutsu Kaisen.
Most characters inJujutsu Kaisenquite literally can’t even touch Gojo. His inherent Cursed Technique allows him to control infinity, creating and destorying space wherever he wants. His Domain Expansion, Unlimited Void, could trap Superman permanently. Even Supes wouldn’t stand a chance against infinity itself.

3Vegeta
Dragon Ball
Everyone always talks about Superman taking on Goku, but nobody mentions the Prince of all Saiyans. Vegeta isn’t just on par with Kakarot: he might be stronger than him. Goku has never actually beat Vegeta in a one-on-one fight, and Vegeta recently beat Goku in a sparring match for the first time ever.
Goku’s Ultra Instinct is his strongest form ever, and Vegeta has finally matched it with Ultra Ego. It’s a form that sees Vegeta get stronger when he takes damage. Fighting Superman, Vegeta is certain to take a good amount of damage, but that’s exactly what Vegeta would want.

2Usagi Tsukino
Sailor Moon
Sailor Moonis nothing short of a titan of anime. It’s one of the most iconic anime series of all time, and while its main character Usagi Tsukino might not look like it, she’s easily one ofthe strongest anime characters in the art form. Usagi Tsukino is the eponymous Sailor Moon, and she’s proven time and time again just how unbelievably strong she is.
Sailor Moon is about as broken as it gets. She’s nearly invulnerable to all attacks, can develop new power in the middle of battle, and use the moonlight itself as a devastating attack. Superman has never come across an enemy quite like her, and even the Big Blue Boyscout wouldn’t know how to handle this powerhouse of a warrior.

1Giorno Giovanna
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
Out of every character inJoJo’s Bizarre Adenture, there isn’t one JoJo as strong as Giorno Giovanna. The star of part five,Golden Wind,Giorno starts the series with a good amount of strength before ending it as one of the strongest characters in anime. After getting pierced by the Stand-creating Arrow, his Stand Gold Experience becomes the untouchable Gold Experience Requiem.
Gold Experience Requiem gives Giorno the ability to prevent his enemies from “reaching the truth”. It’s an ability that essentially rewrites reality automatically, saving Giorno from even having to take concious action. It can force Superman into an endless death loop without Giorno even lifting a finger, giving Big Blue a fight he could never hope to win.
