Fortnite’s season 3 isn’t ending until May 3, but that hasn’t stopped Epic Games from hyping up the community for what comes next. The studio took to the officialFortniteTwitter account to share an image of what appears to be a superhero and a comet, possibly revealing what season 4 has in store.

Season 3 ofFortniteused a space theme for many of its cosmetic items, so it seems likely that the superhero image means that season 4 will have a superhero theme. The image of the masked hero could even be our first look at one of the new skins that will be coming to the game whenever season 4 kicks off.

The comet, meanwhile, seems to be a clear reference to the ongoing comet theory. For weeks, Epic Games has been teasing that some sort of cataclysmic event will befallFortnite, with the leading theory being thatTilted Towers will be destroyed by a meteor strike. Perhaps the superhero in the image is somehow tied to the comet, or maybe this is just more evidence that the destruction of Tilted Towers will finally come in season 4.

At this point, it’s hard to say exactly whenForntitewill start season 4. We know that season 3 is on its final set of challenges, and that it will conclude on May 3rd. It’s possible that season 4 inFortnitewill begin right after season 3 concludes, but another possibility is that Epic will leave some time between season 3 and 4.

Something that may delay the start of season 4 is its battle pass. Epic was planning on sellingseason 3’s battle passfor real money before reversing its decision and selling it for in-game currency. If Epic is similarly unsure about how exactly it wants to deliver season 4’s battle pass, it could potentially delay the start of the season.

Whatever Epic decides,Fortnitefans shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to find out more about season 4.

Fortniteis available now in early access on iOS, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
