Frank Already Replaced The Gang In “The Gang Misses The Boat”
This isn’t the first time Frank has deemed the Gang unworthy of his presence and attempted to start anew elsewhere. Back in season 10’s “The Gang Misses the Boat,” Frank tried to find a brand-new version of the gang after they all decided their dynamic was harmful. While undoubtedly true, they all returned to normal by the episode’s ending.
The Gang is sort of like the devil they know, and despite constant fights and arguments, they always seem to end up back at Paddy’s. Frank’s latest betrayal takes things a step further, as he specifically alluded to the fact that they would have embarrassed him on television and that he needed a fake family for his TV hometown visits.
It seems more than likely that Frank’s new Gang replacements won’t turn out the same way as in season 10. This time around, he’s not actually trying to replace the Gang permanently; he’s just trying to appear with a different family on television. He’s already gotten what he wanted.
In season 17, it seems likely that Frank will come to regret this choice because the Gang will seek retribution against him. Episode 7’s ending shows that they’re furious about what he did, and they’ve been known to be pretty ruthless people when scorned.
It’s Always Sunny Season 17 Should Formally Introduce Frank’s The Gang Replacements
Although it might be challenging to factor in, given that Frank’sGolden Bachelorappearance already happened, it could be really funny to have his real family cross paths with his fake family.
TheIt’s Always SunnyGang is often at its best when placed next to normal people, as exhibited by the test audience in “The Gang Gets Ready for Prime Time.” This could be an excellent way to stick the season 17 landing with a hilarious finale.
