Overall, fans didn’t seem too thrilled about this month’sPS Plusofferings, though expectations may have been set too high for the first full PS Plus month since the release of the new console. On the bright side, fans in December are gaining access to three games rather than just two, and one of them (Worms Rumble) is available as a native PS5 game.

The other two games,Just Cause 4andRocket Arena, are PS4 games. Thanks to backwards compatibility, both of these can be played on the PS5, but fans shouldn’t expect to see all of its new features in use. For example,Worms Rumblemightmake better use of the DualSense’s haptic feedbackand adaptive triggers than the other games.
Worms Rumbleis a bit of a controversial pick, as many players are unfamiliar with the franchise as a whole and those that are familiar weren’t too happy about the departure from the series' formula. Even so, players can jump into this hectic arena based battle for free this month. Likewise, thoughRocket ArenaSeason 2 began recently, the general opinion seems to be somewhat mixed about the game. For those that may have missed it, be sure to check it out while it’s free this month.
Finally,Just Cause 4sees players take control of Rico Rodriguez once again, as he embarks on a journey through a large open world to take down a private military force. As the fourth entry in the series, fans may be hesitant to try it out, players can rest assured thatthe story ofJust Cause 4will still make sense for the most part without any prior knowledge. Unfortunately, it was one of the worse received entries in the otherwise critically acclaimed series.
