Horror Inc. Vice President Robbie Barsamian teases an expansion of theFriday the 13thfranchise. Founded by Sean Cunningham, who directed the original 1980 classic, the production company Horror Inc. owns the rights to the popular horror franchise created by Victor Miller and is currently at the stage of expanding the Jason universe.

A prequel titledCrystal Lakeis currently in production, focusing on Jason Voorhees' childhood and the events leading up to the firstFriday the 13thmovie, while the company previously promised to introduce a new look for Jason as well as bring a multimedia immersive experience in the coming years.

At theSan Diego Comic-Con, Barsamian, who is producingCrystal Lake, revealed thatthey are working on a new sequel movie and a video game, perBloody Disgusting. He shared that both are “at the top” of their list and where “most” of their energy is going.
