AGenshin Impactplayer has shared an interesting concept that shows what a metro map of Teyvat would look like. Over the last couple of months, HoYoverse has introduced a pattern of adding a new part of the map in every other update. The last map expansion was featured in the previous update in which the game introduced two new regions, Gavireh Lajavard and Realm of Farakhkert.
Both of these regions belong to the Sumeru nation which isGenshin Impact’s most recent major nation. But with Sumeru’s Archon quest slowly ending, Travelers are excited to see where the main storyline will take them in the upcoming months.

A Reddit user by the name Giorky has created an interesting map concept that shows a rough sketch of a potential metro system in the world of Teyvat. The design caught the attention of many players as the post reached almost 500 upvotes on the officialGenshin Impactsubreddit. The Redditor has confirmed that while designing the metro system, they excluded all fantasy elements that includeGenshin Impact’s monsters and extreme weather conditions like thethundering storms on Inazuma’s island. Giorky has marked special areas with different colors. For example, red areas represent the most dangerous parts of Teyvat while the green color marks natural reservations. A big part of the metro would need to be placed underwater since the Inazuma islands are far away from Sumeru, Mondstadt, and Liyue, all of which are connected by land.
The creator of the concept also revealed that he took a lot of inspiration from real-life metro examples. Some fans have pointed out that while theyusually use the Teleport Waypointsto go from one place to another, they would love to have a unique transportation method that would allow them to observe the gorgeous world of Teyvat when traveling from Sumeru to Mondstadt.
Giorky will probably have to update their concept fairly soon as HoYoverse is about to finally add anew major region to the game named Fontaine. They released the first Fontaine teaser at the end of the previous Special Program event for version 3.7.
The promotional video shows the Traveler diving which led many players to believe that the game will introduce this new mechanic in version 4.0. Even though there is still no official information about whenGenshin Impactversion 4.0will arrive, going by the game’s previous releases, Travelers can expect the major update to arrive in the second half of August.
Genshin Impactis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a Switch port is also in development.
