Games and apps that are part of the Play Pass program will have a special badge on their official Play Store page. According to a press release, Play Pass is invite-only for developers, so developers who are looking to have their games and apps added to the Play Pass service will have to contact Google to get things rolling. Fortunately, developers don’t have to worry about being left out because Google encourages developers to reach out to show their interest in the service and possibly, get their games added.
It’s no surprise thatGoogle is looking to compete with Apple Arcadewith its new mobile-game subscription service. So far, the gaming lineup looks solid on the Play Pass with top-tier titles likeLimboandMonument Valley, etc. while Apple Arcade, on the other hand, is taking a more Netflix-like approach with a few service-exclusive titles. However, it remains to be seen which service becomes the fan-favorite; the key to success will definitely be consistent addition of new titles.
