Happy’s Placeseason 2 can redeem Reba McEntire’s character from her iconic 2001 sitcom,Reba, if they feature her on-screen daughter, Kyra (Scarlett Pomers), in a guest appearance. Reba’s namesake sitcom was a huge hit during the early 2000s and made somewhat of a resurgence online thanks to its iconic theme song, “I’m a Survivor.” With that, many fans of her former sitcom have been wanting to see a guest appearance from her formerRebacostars. Melissa Peterman (Barbara Jean onReba) is a cast member inHappy’s Place, and otherRebacast members even popped in on season 1.

So far, only two formerRebastars have appeared inHappy’s Placeseason 1. Christopher Rich (Brock Hart onReba) played a tattoo artist and stroke survivor, a character that was specifically written for him as Rich had suffered from a stroke eight years ago. Before Rich’s appearance, Steve Howey (Van onReba) played Danny, a friend of Gabby’s (Peterman), who is a rich businessman, and Gabby enlists him to potentially help the tavern. While all these cameos were fun to watch, there is one appearance that should happen next season.

Scarlett Pomers Could Be Happy’s Place Season 2’s Next Big Reba Cameo

AsHappy’s Placegets ready for season 2, there has been more discussion about who else fromRebashould make a cameo, and one of those cast members should be Scarlett Pomers. Pomers played Reba’s youngest daughter, Kyra, onReba, known for her witty lines and sarcastic humor. EvenPeterman expressed interest in having Pomers make a cameo onHappy’s Placeduring an interview withUs Weeklyin March.

Scarlett [Pomers] as Kyra was just incredibly and comedically gifted.

Pomers' cameo is clearly something that has been up for discussion forHappy’s Placeseason 2. Her return would be significant for longtime fans who love theRebanostalgiaHappy’s Placeoffers. Given the show’s commitment to reuniting the original cast, her cameo could provide some continuity to the series. Whileno official announcements have been made about Pomers' involvement, there is a desire to incorporate more familiar faces onHappy’s Place.

How Pomer’s Happy’s Place Season 2 Can Redeem Reba’s Relationship With Kyra

Pomers potentially joiningHappy’s Placenext season would be a smart way to redeem one ofReba’s most underexplored relationships, the one between Reba and her daughter Kyra. While the 2001 sitcom is known to have plenty of heart, the dynamic between Reba and Kyra often took a backseat, especially in later seasons when Pomers didn’t have much screen time.Pomers was absent from most ofRebaseason 5 due to her battle with anorexiaoff-screen.

A cameo could offer a fresh chance to show a more grown-up connection between Reba and Pomers. On the sitcom, Reba was so focused onPomers' on-screen sister, Cheyenne Hart (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), who became pregnant as a teenager, often leaving Kyra in the background. It’s a subtle butmeaningful way to give Reba and Kyra’s relationship the closure it deserves.

Pomer’s Happy’s Place Season 2 Cameo Is More Exciting Than JoAnna Garcia Swisher’s

Pomers potential cameo inHappy’s Placeseason 2 would be more exciting than Swisher’s for a number of reasons.Pomershas mostlyremained out of the public eye since filmingReba, but semi-returned when she joined Instagram in 2024. Her bio says she is a writer and director, so it seems she’s mainly been behind the scenes since her acting days. Pomers is even filming a short film calledGeneral Violence, which she posted about on social media in April.

As for Swisher, she is still in the public eye, starring in the Netflix seriesSweet Magnoliasand hosting the Netflix reality showThe Ultimatum: Queer Love. Pomers return would be more surprising, whereas Swisher’s would be predictable. While Swisher’s appearance would be a fun callback toReba, Pomers' return onHappy’s Placewould carry more emotional weight, especially since fans haven’t seen her on-screen in years.
