Players must defeat Krubis to progress with the main game story and collect his bounty,role-playing as a bounty hunterin the space landscape of Blim City. Players must use all the abilities and strategies learned within the first 3-4 hours ofHigh on Lifeto kill Krubis, but fortunately, there are some handy strategies for each of his 4 core attacks to make the battle much smoother for players.
Blaster Shots And Drilling Through The Floor
The boss battle begins with Krubis shooting players with hisblaster weapon, which players can avoid by pressing the B button on an Xbox controller to quickly dash to the side, an ability players unlock when they get the Dodge Unit. It’s best to keep moving as Krubis drills into the floor after shooting and tries to reappear directly underneath the player, using his drill-shaped cone head as a weapon.

The most effective way to kill Krubisand lower his health is by usingKenny’s Glob Shot abilityto knock Krubis to the ground andstab him with Knifeywhile he is down. It’s best to use this strategy when Krubis is shooting or using his throwing saw rather than during the laser attacks phase. He also sometimes goes up to the top balcony area, but there’s no need to follow him there.
Throwing Saw
After shooting, Krubis throws a largethrowing sawtoward the player, which starts as a single saw and progresses to a duo attack as the battle continues. Players can easily dodge the attack by keeping their distance, dodging left or right, and using the rocky pillars for cover.

Krubis' Goons
Krubis also sends in around of goonsto do his dirty work for him. Ironically, this is handy as it gives players the opportunity to replenish their shield damage. Shoot or stab all goons and collect the yellow canisters they drop on defeat to recharge the bounty hunter suit protective shield.
Laser Attacks
The most deadly of Krubis' attacksare a series of alternatingred lasersthat appear around the arena, and survival here is the priority. Use Knifey’s tethering ability totether onto the hookbugshovering around the room and keep moving in a circular motion, avoiding as many lasers as possible as they change direction.
The worst thing players can do is stand still or try to attack Krubis at this point, so it’s best to keep moving and survive until Krubis resumes his shooting attacks, where players can repeat the Glob Shot and Knifey strategy until he is defeated.

Krubis Boss Battle Rewards
