You can already start pre-farming Anaxa materials inHonkai: Star Railahead of the character’s release to have everything you need (or, at least, most of it) in hand once you pull them from the banners, be it during their initial debut in Version 3.3 or in any future banner reruns he may appear in. Alongside Castorice, Anaxa is one of the two new 5-star characters introduced with Version 3.3.The Wind unit follows the Path of the Erudition, which makes him a specialist in striking multiple targets at once, but dealing pure damage alone isn’t his only specialty.
Anaxa’s kit inHonkai: Star Railallows him to inflict new Weaknesses on enemies, making him something of a powercreep for Silver Wolf thanks to his ability to trigger this effect against multiple opponents at once rather than individually. The highlight of his kit is his Ultimate. With it, Anaxa can inflict all seven Weakness types on all enemies, even if limited to a single round. Even so, Anaxa can set up the terrain for the rest of his team to exploit, while he also gains more damage output based on the number of Weaknesses his target has.

The Character’s Materials Can Be Pre-Farmed Comfortably, Without Risk Of Changing
Originally leaked, the entire set ofAnaxa’s materials inHonkai: Star Railhas now been confirmed with the character’s upcoming release in the current patch. Previously, the materials were still highly subject to change while the character underwent trials in the beta tests, but with the definitive arrival of Version 3.3,all of Anaxa’s materials can be comfortably pre-farmed without the risk of having to farm another set with any possible changes.
A lot of effort will need to be put into pre-farming materials for Anaxa, especially when it comes to his Trace materials, but doing so will unlock his full potential as a character and allow you to build him at the top of his game, as both a DPS and a debuffer that creates new opportunities for his team comp to strike.

Ascension Materials To Pre-Farm For Anaxa In Honkai: Star Rail
You’ll Need To Farm Amphoreus & Penacony Materials
The first step is to pre-farm Anaxa’s Ascension materials since completing his Ascension will also unlock all the nodes in his skill tree. The first set of items you’ll need to farm for Anaxa is Ethereal Omen, Echoing Wail, and Eternal Lament, all of which drop from Black Tide Creatures that can be found across various maps on Amphoreus. The best way to farm Ethereal Omen is to challenge Calyx (Golden) activities on Amphoreus, as they are a guaranteed drop. This proves to be better in the long run than running maps and waiting for Black Tide Creatures’ respawn times.
Because Calyx (Golden) activities don’t drop Echoing Wail and Eternal Lament, remember to use the Omni-Synthesizer to transform Ethereal Omen into whichever of the two materials you need.

The table below lists all the materials required for Anaxa’s Ascension inHonkai: Star Rail, divided per level threshold and condensed at the end:

The other item you’ll need to farm for Anaxa’s Ascension is called A Glass of the Besotted Era. Used exclusively by a select few Wind characters,A Glass of the Besotted Era can be farmed at the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Gloam activity located in the Penacony Grand Theater map. Only 65 copies of these are needed, which means you’ll need to run the activity 13 times (if you’re challenging it at the maximum level). For reference, this is one ofFeixiao’s Ascension materials inHonkai: Star Rail, so you may already know where to go if you’ve obtained her.
To fuel the Ascension process, you’ll also be required to invest 308,000 Credits on top of Anaxa’s materials. These 308,000 Credits are used to unlock all of the Ascension level thresholds, but you’ll need an additional 508,000 Credits to level up Anaxa with Character EXP Materials. If you need extra Credits or Character EXP Materials, be sure to farm them at Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures or Calyx (Golden): Bud of Memories in Amphoreus, respectively. Doing so will provide you with the resources you need, plus Ethereal Omen, which you’ll also use in Anaxa’s Trace-level process inHonkai: Star Rail.
Trace Materials To Pre-Farm For Anaxa In Honkai: Star Rail
Pre-Farming Can Help You Have Anaxa Ready As Soon As You Obtain Him
Ethereal Omen, Echoing Wail, and Eternal Lament are also used to level up Anaxa’s abilities. Aside from the regular methods of farming these materials, you’re able to also get more Ethereal Omen and Echoing Wail from the Embers Exchange store.Materials from this item family can also be obtained as rewards for Assignments, as well as specific limited-time events, so be sure to maximize your materials gains as much as you can.
The table below lists all the materials Anaxa uses in his Trace-leveling process:

The other set of Anaxa materials to farm for his Traces is composed of Rough Sketch, Dynamic Outlining, and Exquisite Colored Draft. Exclusive to some Erudition characters,Rough Sketch, Dynamic Outlining, and Exquisite Colored Draft can be farmed at the Calyx (Crimson): Bud of Erudition activity located in the Penacony Grand Theater map. A lot of these items will be needed to fully upgrade all of Anaxa’s Traces, and you’ll likely see yourself farming these materials for days and, possibly, even weeks. These items are also used by Jade, Rappa, andThe Herta inHonkai: Star Rail.
Much like Ethereal Omen and its rarer forms, Rough Sketch, Dynamic Outlining, and Exquisite Colored Draft are all part of the same item family, so use the Omni-Synthesizer as Anaxa’s needs increase.
At higher Trace levels, you’ll also need to farm a weekly boss material for Anaxa. Lost Echo of the Shared Wish can be farmed by beating theGrand Septimus boss inHonkai: Star Rail. This boss can only be faced thrice per week, so your farming efforts when it comes to Lost Echo of the Shared Wish may take up to two weeks, depending on whether or not you already have a few copies of the item in your inventory or not.
Also used at higher Trace levels,Tracks of Destiny is a rare Trace material that is best farmed weekly from the Simulated or Divergent Universe activities. Aside from this method, you can also get Tracks of Destiny from reputation systems, specific limited-time events, the battle pass, and even the Embers Exchange shop – though acquisition through the store is limited.
Lastly, aside from the Anaxa materials you need to farm, the full Trace-leveling process will also require an investment of 3 million Credits. This can be a daunting amount of Credits to use depending on how often you upgrade your characters, but, as usual, you can always farm more Credits from Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasure activities – preferably on Amphoreus inHonkai: Star Rail.
