AnAndorstar has been added to theHouse of the Dragonseason 3 cast. TheGame of Thronesprequel seriesfollows House Targaryen’s civil war that is known as the Dance of Dragons. Factions are split between the greens, who support King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney), and the blacks, who support Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy).House of the Dragonseason 2 endedon a cliffhanger as both sides prepared for the Battle of the Gullet, which will be seen in season 3.

What This Means For House Of The Dragon Season 3

Joplin Sibtain’s Character Will Not Be Like Brasso

Brasso is a fan-favorite character inAndorseasons 1 and 2, with Sibtain’s performance cementing him as the ultimate friend who is supportive, loyal, and will stand up for what is right. The popularity ofAndor, which is widely hailed as the all-time bestStar Warsshow, means that Sibtain is now primarily associated with playing the heroic Brasso. This will make it intriguing to see him play a character fighting for the greens, who are largely seen asHouse of the Dragon’s villains.

Sibtain, Cullen, and Sloane join other newcomers toHouse of the Dragonseason 3’s cast, including James Norton as Ormund Hightower, Tommy Flanagan as Lord Roderick Dustin, and Dan Fogler as Torrhen Manderly. With House Hightower being on the side of the greens,Sibtain and Norton’s characters may interactand have scenes together as they serve the greens. Their stories may be able to shed some light on what happened to Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans), who was last seen imprisoned at the end of season 2.

It Will Be Exciting, But Jarring To See His House Of The Dragon Character

With Brasso being one of my favoriteAndorcharacters, and season 2 being the end of the critically acclaimedStar Warsseries, I am thrilled that he will be joiningHouse of the Dragonseason 3. It will probably be jarring to see him play Roxton, not only because of the character’s loyalties, but because he isknown for his temper, which will be a stark contrast to Brasso. This latest casting addition makes me even more eager to seethe Dance of Dragonscontinue to unfold when season 3 returns in 2026.
