My Hero Academia Vigilanteshas already made a splash with fans, and given the series' popularity, it seems like a guarantee that more seasons will be on the way. So, just how long will it be when all is said and done?

Vigilantesbegan airing on Jul 31, 2025, with one season of 13 episodes confirmed so far.My Hero Academia Vigilantesis a much shorter manga than the mainMy Hero Academiaseries, at just 126 chapters, but the chapters are longer, as the series didn’t release weekly. Still, it should be possible to estimate the number of episodes it will take to adapt the entire manga using the average number of chapters per episode for the originalMy Hero Academia. Here’s how long it might take to adapt the entireVigilantesmanga as an anime, based on the rate it’s going at already and the franchise’s usual speed.

My Hero Academia Vigilantes Will Need Several Seasons

Vigilantes' Rate of Adaptation Places It Shorter Than the Main Series

So far, the rate of adaptation forMy Hero Academia Vigilanteshas been quite slow. The first two episodes only covered 2 chapters and part of another. However, that rate of adaptation is likely to speed up as the series moves into more action and fight scenes now that the premise is fully set up. This was the case forMy Hero Academiaas well, which took 2 episodes just to adapt the first chapter. A typicalMy Hero Academiaepisode adapts 3 chapters on average, with some being more and some less.Vigilanteschapters are also about twice as long as a main series chapter.

As a result, it’s fair to think thatVigilantescould cover 2 chapters per episode fairly comfortably, without having to cut too much out. That would put the end of the first season somewhere around chapter 26, which is near the conclusion of the first major story arc surrounding Kuin Hachisuka. That seems like an exceptionally reasonable point to end on, and is probably what Studio Bones is aiming for. Another 13-episode season would put it around chapter 52, but the next arc doesn’t end until chapter 58, which might necessitate some trimming of the story.

My Hero Academia Vigilantes Could Be Around 64 Episodes

A Stable Pace of Adaptation Puts the Anime Squarely at 64

With 126 chapters total, at 2 chapters per episode, that would be 63 episodes, or 64 if we take into account the fact that the first two episodes only adapted one chapter each. Assuming 13-episode seasons and accounting for some minor adjustments to get things to fit neatly, it would take at least 4 seasons to cover; the 4th season would need to be 20ish episodes to cover it all, however, for a total of 59 episodes. Fans can be reasonably confident that, if fully adapted,My Hero Academia Vigilanteswill land somewhere in that range of 59–64 episodes, ensuring several more years ofMHAcontent yet to come.
