Brooke Hogantook to Instagram to explain why she didn’t attend her father’s funeral. “I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how…privately,” she admitted. Brooke acknowledged that everyone grieves in different ways, and for her,she prefers to mourn behind closed doors, which is why she chose not to be at the funeral.
Apparently, Hogan “hated the morbidity of funerals,” and according to Brooke,he didn’t actually want a funeral for himself after he died. It’s unknown if that alleged request was stipulated in his will.
In her Instagram post, Brooke included several photos of herself with her kids at the beach. She noted in her caption thatthe “only thing missing” from the day was her father sitting in his pop-up lawn chair"watching the waves…and the sunset."
Spending time with her kids at the beach was Brooke’s way of honoring Hogan, and that was the “simplest way that agreed with my soul.” She added that the sand and waves reminded her of her father, andshe felt closer to him than ever before. She ended her statement by saying she hoped Hulk was “at peace.”
