Imaginary Hunt March 7th is a variant of the beloved Astral Express member given to players for free inHonkai: Star Rail. As a Hunt unit, Imaginary March 7th is an incrediblystrong 4-Star damage dealercapable of excelling in a variety of team compositions.
There are two distinct playstyles that players can build for Imaginary March 7th: a traditional CRIT-focused build or a hybrid Break build. March has several great Light Cone (LC) options, both limited and free, that are very close in power. While there is only one Break Effect-specific Light Cone, the hybrid Break build can still effectively use many of the CRIT LCs due to March’s reliance on CRIT stats outside of Break windows. Here is a quick rundown onthe best Light Cone options for Hunt March 7th inHonkai: Star Rail.

After entering battle, increases the wearer’s SPD by 12% and DMG by 24%. When the wearer takes DMG, this effect will disappear. This effect will resume after the end of the wearer’s next turn.
River Flows in Springis a decent free 4-Star option that players canobtain multiple copies of with Lucent Afterglow. This Light Cone is relatively weaker than the other options for March’s CRIT build and will mostly see use with the hybrid Break build due to its SPD and DMG increases. The effect disappearing upon taking damage is a major downside that players will need to work around to maintain efficiency, typically by keeping March properly shielded. Overall, there are plenty of better options than River Flows in Spring, but players can expect an adequate performance if they lack other Light Cones.

At Superimposition 5,Only Silence Remainsis a competitive 4-Star option, granted it can maintain full uptime on its CRIT Rate. If players can keep the effect active, this Light Cone’s damage comes close to many of the 5-Star options for March. However, encounters inHonkai: Star Railoften involve more than two enemies, with manybosses and elites frequently bringing additional foesonto the field. If players can play around its condition, Only Silence Remains can be a great choice.

Swordplayis another great 4-Star option at Superimposition 5, offering comparable damage to 5-Star Light Cones when at full stacks. The effect is simple to maintain as long as March focuses on the same target, which is typically manageable in most boss fights. Additionally, March’s Enhanced Basic ATK can fully stack the effect due to its multi-hit component, which guarantees five hits after using her Ultimate. It is recommended to have another damage dealer on the team to clear out smaller enemies, allowing March to concentrate solely on the priority target.

Topaz’s signature 5-Star Light Cone,Worrisome, Blissful, is an excellent choice for Imaginary March and pairs especially well with the Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters relic set due to its Tame debuff. Not only does it increase March’s CRIT Rate and follow-up attack DMG, but it also provides CRIT DMG for the entire team when they hit targets under the Tame state.

Baptism of Pure Thoughtis another excellent 5-Star Light Cone for Hunt March 7th, requiring very little effort to gain most of its amazing effects. In addition to the unconditional CRIT DMG increase, using her Ultimate also buffs March with a 32% DMG increase and a 24% DEF ignore forfollow-up attacks. This is great for March’s Enhanced Basic ATK, which is guaranteed at least five multi-hits after using her Ultimate. Alongside allies like Imaginary Trailblazer and Ruan Mei, a massive 60% increase to Break Effect helps players reach the 250% Break Effect requirement for Iron Cavalry Against the Scouge’s relic set effect. The Light Cone also provides a substantial 20% DEF ignore on Break DMG and a 12% SPD increase. Players looking to build the traditional CRIT-focused playstyle for March can safely ignore this Light Cone.
Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 18%. While the wearer is in battle, for every 10 SPD that exceeds 100, the DMG of the wearer’s Basic ATK and Skill is increased by 6% and the CRIT DMG of their Ultimate is increased by 12%. This effect can stack up to 6 times.
Seele’s signature 5-Star Light Cone,In the Night, tops the list with its exceptional CRIT stats and synergy with SPD. For every 10 SPD that exceeds 100, March can gain DMG for her Basic ATK and Skill, as well as CRIT DMG for her Ultimate. With a base SPD of 102, March can easily reach three stacks just by having a SPD boot and her first Eidolon. While In the Night is best-in-slot for the CRIT build, it is also extremely powerful for hybrid Break March, especially when additional stats are allocated to hit 160 SPD in battle.
