Among the Islanders currently competing onLove Island USA’s latest season, one Islander’s name is on everybody’s lips. This Islanderemerged as one of the season’s dark horsesdue to her lightening-speed relationship, as she connected with a fellow Islander instantly upon entering the villa. Huda and Jeremiah were one ofLove Island USAseason 7’s most talked-about couples, mostly due to the way Huda has romanticized her connection with Jeremiah and the fact that Huda and Jeremiah were seemingly closed off to other connections. It caused the rest of the Islanders to be afraid to explore connections with Jeremiah and Huda.
Personally,I think Huda is the star of the season. She’s showing a vulnerability that almost any young person who’s in a new relationship can relate to, except Huda is doing it for the world to see and judge. Huda also has the added pressure of being a mom, which raises the stakes for any relationship she gets into. WhileAmerica voted to separate Huda and Jeremiah, much to Huda’s astonishment,Huda was spared from elimination, and I’m grateful. She needs to stay onLove Island USAfor as long as possible because she’s entertaining, even if she’s cringe.

From the beginning, Huda, 24, was the one to watch. Love her or hate her,she set herself apart from the rest of the Islanders with her exotic looks and her revelation to some of the Islanders that she had a 4-year-old daughter. As the third girl to join the villa, Huda admitted in her intro that she is a “sweet lover girl” deep down who enjoys romantic gestures, and she’s looking for a man who is only interested in her.
“Just because you’re a mom doesn’t mean that your life is over.”
From their first day on the island, Huda and Jeremiah had a connection, and they instantly coupled up, becoming what Huda referred to as one of the “strongest” couples in the villa. Huda gleefully claimed that she and Jeremiah were the “mom and dad” of the island, even though it caused other Islanders to roll their eyes. As the season is progressing,Huda is coming across as desperateto keep the momentum with Jeremiah going strong, despite some major red flags.

Huda And Jeremiah Aren’t On The Same Page
Huda and Jeremiah’s instant attraction propelled them into their relationship. Despite the premise ofLove Islandbeing to meet and mingle with as many as possible,Jeremiah and Huda only had eyes for each other. Jeremiah, who hails from Los Angeles, seemed mesmerized by Huda, and both were willing to go along for the ride, especially since they were very attracted to each other, even if they didn’t really know each other.
Their close bond rubbed some Islanders, and the viewing audience, the wrong way.Huda became extremely territorial over Jeremiah, threatening the other women to stay away from her man. She also regaled the other girls about how into her Jeremiah was, even if she exaggerated her story. Jeremiah and Huda moved the fastest, and were intimate with each other before any of the other Islanders.
Huda’s insistence on her relationship with Jeremiah caused the audience to turn on her, but I’m firmly on Team Huda.
First of all, she’s a young woman who’s been plucked from anonymity and cast onto one of the world’s most popular dating shows. She’s caught up in the surreal moment, and it’s very relatable for anyone who’s ever been in a relationship. As she can sense that Jeremiah is pulling back, she starts getting more desperate to keep him in her clutches,which is a normal response to Jeremiah’s hot-and-cold dealings with her.
Huda Was Up For Elimination, But Was Saved
America Voted To Recouple Jeremiah With Bombshell Iris
Despite Jeremiah seeming to cool off, he continues to treat Huda like they’re in a relationship by sleeping with her, cooking for her, and telling her how strong his feelings for her are. Even if Huda is a bit delusional about their relationship,Jeremiah is fueling her delusion(probably because he’s also a little scared of her).
Huda is the one labeled as “crazy,” despite her being encouraged by her partner.
As the viewing audience was given the chance to vote on whom the show’s latest bombshells should be coupled up with on episode 12, it became clear that tearing Huda and Jeremiah apart would make for entertaining television. America is messy, and it’s likely Jeremiah was voted to recouple becauseHuda would obviously crash out if she lost her man. And crash out she did when it was announced that America had voted to recouple Jeremiahwith new bombshell Iris Kendall.
Huda was as surprised as anyone, since as the cast are filming the show, they aren’t allowed access to social media, so they have no idea how the viewing audience is perceiving them on the show.Huda can’t believe that audiences aren’t buying her perfect love story with Jeremiah(although as soon as she’s able to watch the season back, she’ll most likely have more clarity). Still, I think Huda is getting an undue amount of negativity.
Huda has star power, and the producers need to keep her on the show as long as possible. Yes, she’s emotional and somewhat delusional.She’s responding to Jeremiah, and it’s making her look crazy, which is unfair, since Jeremiah is just as involved in their relationship as she is. Even if she and Jeremiah don’t make it, Huda needs to be on the show to make whoever Jeremiah is paired up with uncomfortable, which we know she will.
I was relieved the Islandersvoted Charlie Georgio offthe island instead of Huda, who was already humiliated that Jeremiah had been recoupled with Iris. Sending her home would have added insult to injury, and we need her to stick around to see how she responds to seeing Jeremiah with a new woman. Chances are,Huda will make for some unforgettable TVas she tries to navigate her new normal on the island.
