How To Play Wordle
The original version, and theWordlethat this article is about, is hosted on the New York Times Games Website. Although it was original developed by Josh Wardle of powerlanguage, the newspaper giant purchased this game back in February. Currently,Wordleis free-to-play and doesn’t require a login, but this may change as the NYT is allowing players to track theirWordlescores with their Games accounts soon.

to play the New York Times version ofWordle, head to the site and choose a starting word. It should be:
Type the starting word into theWordlegrid and press enter. This will cause the letters to change colors; each of these colors is a clue to the real answer.

Given these clues, players need to keep trying new words until their six total tries are exhausted. There is only one word a day for everyone; puzzles don’t reset until 12:00AM local time.Wordle’s only having one puzzle per day is part of the reason why there are so many clones and copycats out there.
