Kit Harington’s returning HBO series, which has a 90% rating on RT, breaks an unfortunate record he’s held sinceGame of Thrones. TheGame of Thronesendingwas six years ago, and it’s been exciting watching actors like Gwendoline Christie and Nathalie Emmanuel flourish in the aftermath.
Kit Harington has been relatively quiet since the series ended, not finding the mainstream success he had in HBO’s epic. However, his luck seems to have changed whenhe joinedIndustry, an underappreciated HBO drama that deserves to be considered among the best ongoing shows on TV.

Industry Is Now Kit Harington’s First Multiseason TV Show After Game Of Thrones
Kit Harington’s post-Game of Thronescareer has had its ups and downs, as is often the case with someone who becomes synonymous with such an iconic character. His role inEternalsseemed like a promising follow-up, but that didn’t take off in the way many of us had hoped, and his future in the MCU is still uncertain.
Even on television, many of Harington’s roles have been guest appearances, miniseries, or TV films. Until now, Harington has yet to appear on a show for more than one season since 2019, and it comes after the astounding praise for his work inIndustryseason 3.

Industry, as a whole, has been underappreciated since its first season, and commonly oversimplified as a raunchier version ofSuccession. The show has fantastic characters and performances, and Kit Harington’s arrival in season 3 only elevated an already phenomenal piece of television.
AlthoughGame of Throneswas undoubtedly one of the most well-written shows ever made, primarily due to the wit and intelligence ofGeorge R.R. Martin’sA Song of Ice & Firebooks, Jon Snow is rarely the character who gets to engage in those clever back-and-forths.Industryshows an entirely different side of Harington as a performer.

Kit Harington’s Industry Success Is More Exciting Than His Canceled Jon Snow Show
I’m a huge fan of Kit Harington and Jon Snow, and actually put the latter as one of thebestA Song of Ice & FirePOV characters. I’m also willing to give HBO a lot of leeways when it comes toGame of Thronesspinoffs, given how much fun I have writing about shows in that universe. Even I was worried about the Jon Snow sequel.
The sequel show would have been subject to intense scrutiny, and it’s probably better to move past Jon Snow and theGame of Thronesseason 8 mess altogether. For Kit Harington, Jon Snow might remain his iconic character for life, butIndustryis the first step to building a broader legacy outside ofGame of Thrones.
