First depicted inWolverine#66 by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven, Old Man Logan is one of the greatest arcs featuring Wolverine, as it portrays an older Logan in a dystopian future taken over by the Marvel Universe’s villains. Since its publication, the series has gone on to be the basis of other stories, such as the filmLogan.

The Age of Revelation is a new chapter for the X-Men that addresses the fall of Krakoa while also paying homage to iconic X-Menstories like “Age of Apocalypse” and “Old Man Logan,”with the latter being a potential inspiration for Cyclops’ new look. The Age of Revelation Does a Number on the X-Men, Especially Cyclops
An intriguing aspect of future Cyclops and Old Man Logan is that the two heroes have similarities within their separate arcs, but Cyclops’ current narrative is not a simple rehashing of Logan’s original story. So while the two X-Men oldies share differences, Old Man Logan’s could possibly indicate where Cyclops’ story will be heading in the Age of Revelation.
Revelation’s rule has forced Cyclops to oppose former allies like Kid Omega and Laura Kinney…

Like Logan, Scott Summers has lost his X-Men in this era of Revelation, and as a result, he has forgone his Cyclops persona. Though he wasn’t directly responsible for their deaths in the same way Wolverine was,Scott is responsible for Revelationjoining the X-Men, and Scott stepping down as leader is what led to Revelation’s reign over Earth.
Revelation’s rule has forced Cyclops to oppose former allies like Kid Omega and Laura Kinney, a plot point comparable to how Old Man Logan faced former heroes like the Hulk inGiant-Size Wolverine: Old Man Logan#1. While Cyclops has not yet lost all his team, there is a likelihood that the high stakes of Revelation’s reality will bring more casualties.
