Warning: Contains Potential Spoilers forSinister’s Six #2!
WhenSpider-Manvillains come together to form a Sinister Six, readers can expect some devious schemes and misadventures, but theX-Menversion of the team will seemingly be a lot more violent and dangerousthan any other previous iteration. Instead of Spider-Man’s usual rogues gallery joining forces, Marvel’s future will see a classic X-Men villain forming the new brutal super-team.
At San Diego Comic-Con,Marvel revealed new detailsabout the upcomingAge of Revelationtie-in that twists the name of Spider-Man’s supervillain team to give it an all-new meaning.

Instead of just being six sinister individuals,Mister Sinister has his own strike force called Sinister’s Six, featuring characters from both Spider-Man and X-Men lore.

Ascharacters like Venom join the X-Men franchisein the future, this even more corrupted version of the Sinister Six could be the team’s most ruthless iteration yet. With some of Marvel’s biggest threats on board, Sinister’s Six could cause some serious damage, if they don’t take each other out.
Teasing the series atSan Diego Comic-Con 2025, Marvel Comics released first information about November’s second issue ofSinister’s Sixand the team’s brutal battle with Wolverine. On writer David Marquez’s new cover for the issue, aside from Venom, the team wear matching Mister Sinister-inspired costumes as they ferociously fight another super-powered groupand apparently “race to find a cure”.

It’s still unclear why exactly these six characters have beenbrought together by the wicked Mister Sinisterin the twisted future ofAge of Revelation, but cover art is already showing the team’s vicious nature. As future versions of Venom, Havok, Domino, Fantomex, Omega Red, and Black Cat follow Mister Sinister’s orders, no character in the Marvel Universe is safe.
One of the most fascinating things from the first looks atSinister’s Sixis Black Cat’s new mutated catlike form.Black Cat has gone from Spider-Man’s rogues galleryto an anti-hero in her own right, andAge of Revelationseems to tease an animalistic transformation with superpowers as she officially enters the X-Men franchise’s deadly team-up alongside Venom.

Marvel’s New “Six” Just Became Its Most Dangerous Team
Spider-Man will also have some sort of mutationfor the crossover in Earth-616’s twisted future, but the new take on the Sinister Six doesn’t seem to be connected to the webslinger at all. While characters from other iterations of that team, like Venom and Black Cat, are in the lineup, the newSinister’s Sixis totally Mister Sinister’s conniving creation.
While Spider-Man’s supervillain team has concocted some cold-blooded plans in the past, the X-Men’s version is about to teach the Marvel Universe the meaning of the word “sinister”.
Whilethis semi-apocalyptic version of Earth-616’s futureis subject to change asAge of Revelationprogresses, that meansSinister’s Six could really do some damage in the universe without holding back. The roster of death-dealing mutants and Spidey’s occasional adversaries could be lethal protectors in the universe, but it looks like Sinister will force them to viciously fend for themselves.
Though the series’ name explicitly references the Sinister Six,the first plot details tease that the team may be closer to the mutants’ version of DC’s Suicide Squad, and just as deadly. WhileSpider-Man’ssupervillain team has concocted some cold-blooded plans in the past, theX-Men’sversion is about to teach the Marvel Universe the meaning of the word “sinister”.
