Our Take On The Delay Of Mike Flanagan’s Exorcist Movie

Flanagan Should Take All The Time He Needs To Make His Exorcist Movie Right

While the prospect of Flanagan directing anExorcistmovie is very exciting, it’s no surprise that it will take longer than anticipated to come out. There have barely been updates about the productionsince theExorcistmovie was announced in 2024. Also, not only has he been busy filmingCarrieandThe Life of Chuck, buthe’s also been working on developing Stephen King’sThe Dark Towernovels into a massive TV adaptation.

However, if he needs more time to make both hisExorcistfilm andCarrieseries right, then he should take the time he needs to make both projects as terrifying and brilliant as possible.

Flanagan has had a lot on his plate lately, soit was unlikely that hisExorcistfilm would be ready by March 2026. However, if he needs more time to make both hisExorcistfilm andCarrieseries right, then he should take the time he needs to make both projects as terrifying and brilliant as possible.

It’s also probably better to create more distance between Flanagan’s film and 2023’sThe Exorcist: Believer, another modern reboot of the originalExorcistmovie. Given the latter’s lackluster performance in theaters, waiting longer to release anotherExorcistfilm should make Flanagan’s movie feel much fresher and more exciting to audiences.
